Did we make a mistake by trading Jimmy pre-maturely?

If we just shut him down for the rest of the season it seems like we could have done better than Wiggins + 20th pick.

Of course, hindsight is 20/20. Best time to trade him would have been right after our finals run in 2023.

Here im afraid we would give up 2 multi firsts, and the rockets give up everything for an old durant

I don't think so. Jalen Green is a volume scorer who doesn't really impact winning that much and doesn't care about defense. And they still have 2 of Phoenix's 1st draft picks, so trading one doesn't hurt them that much. They still have a lot of picks to make moves in the future.

Dillon Brooks as much as he's annoying, he wants to defend and plays hard. So that will be a loss. They probably need to get another 3 an D guy to replace Brooks.
Considering the assets they have, this is a worthwhile gamble for a team that was top 3 in the west in the regular season.

For Miami it didn't make sense cuz the team was so awful. KD would have helped but not enough to make us contenders

Overpay? Can't believe the Heat couldn't close the deal, this is an underwhelming return for KD, there is literally nothing of value in that package.

Jalen Green is 23 years old and they gave up the 10th pick in the draft

Massive Suns W

Makes our Butler return look horrible

Thankfully this is over and the Heat didn’t go down that path. Need a proper long term build.

1. Trade Bam to whichever team loses the finals and get at least 4 1sts.

2. Try to find a way to get 2 1sts from someone for Herro. Maybe the pelicans.

3. Take on a terrible contract and a pick(s) for Wiggins to a contender.

4. Dangle Terry and Duncan’s expirings for assets to bail teams outs of bad contracts.

5. Trade Spo to one of the teams with a coaching opening for picks.

6. Lock Patrick away in a nursing home

7. Sell the team like the Lakers just did

Lock in Micky!!!!

Jalen Green is a better asset than any of the players we could have offered besides Ware. 10th pick > 20th pick.

Throw in 5 2nds and it's basically a no-brainer for the Suns to go that route - given that our package (most likely) was Wiggins, Jovic/Jacquez, and 20th pick.

It depends on what you think of Jalen Green. He's a chucker that doesn't play defense, to me I wouldn't want him. And unlike Herro who tries but is physically incapable of being above average defender, Jalen Green can be but doesn't care about that side of the floor. Those guys are the ones I stay away from. The way I see its, the 10th pick + Dillon for KD, which isn't bad

Insane copium going on lol. They got a volume scorer who disappeared in the playoffs that they don’t even plan on keeping, a role player nobody likes, a 1st and the Jae Crowder to Milwaukee package (5 2nds)

They will be able to flip Jalen some place.

As someone who didn’t care if we got him and only concern was we gave up minimal value if we did, my reaction is meh. I mean I’m not happy, it’s not like I thought KD was going to destroy our franchise, but I don’t think we were winning a chip with him, so this at least makes our direction moving forward a little more clear: horde assets and go after a whale that isn’t nearing its expiration date in 2026.

Ant or Luka, come on down.

Jalen Green is a 22 year old that averages 21ppg on 55% TS.

Jaime Jacquez is a 24 year old that averages 9ppg on 55% TS.
Nikola Jovic is a 22 year old that averages 11ppg on 60% TS.

If Jalen Green has little value, then Jaime and Jovic have no value at all lol.

No brainer not sure what else too say. 5 seconds on top of it when we only have like two to trade lol
