I like the trade for PHX more than I do for HOU.

KD is hella old.

Houston's issue last year was they couldn't score and had no one that could get their own bucket. They traded two players that weren't likely in their future plans (and a lot of picks) for a guy that just averaged 27 PPG on 53/43/84 shooting. Plus, KD isn't going to have carry as much of the load and can focus more on scoring. I think this makes Houston a real contender next season. And Phoenix probably got as much as they could considering KD's age and his limiting the teams he'd be willing to play for.

Durant's time with the Nets and Suns were total failures.

Fair trade Value. People overestimate Durant's ability to lift teams. Durant is leaving arguably a better Suns team who fell apart WITH him. What makes you think he will be a difference maker in Houston? Their is a better chance he stunts the growth of Thompson and Sengun, instead.

Wow. Suns couldn't even ask for one of Whitmore, Sheppard, or Jabari?

GREAT deal for the Rockets. No doubt about that.

Suns got a decent package for a 37 year old, good trade for both teams. Gives the Rockets a 2-3 year window to win a championship (they have to add a solid role player to fill the void of Brooks/Green).

Good trade for the Rockets. Finally stopped the delusion that Jalen Green would come good, clearly.

Could be a scary team next season if their youngsters keep developing.

I think it’s fair and ok to say both teams did well here. I hate how these things always turn into who won and lost. Suns had to trade KD, and he’s 37. They got multiple pieces, including young pieces in Green and #10. This draft pick is going to be nearly 20 years younger than KD.

Rockets add one of the most efficient offensive players in all of basketball, replacing one of the most inefficient. On a team finishing #2 in the brutal west last season.

All should have cigars tonight.

Good return in theory by the Suns for an aging Durant, but I don’t get what they are doing on the wings now, they need to make another deal or two to swap their depth at SG for more talent at PG and C.

Rockets were already the second best team in the West in standings. Now they add a top 15 player and top 5 scorer.

Team will compete for 1st seed next year. OKC scared.

If we weren’t giving up Ware, it made sense for them to get the 10th pick. They’ll take a center, either the Maryland kid or the Duke kid.

They really think that Jalen Green won't be a impact player and made the call that he'll never be good.
Then they add Dilloon Brooks , who by all means was a solid but a role player nonetheless.
The number 10 here is a pretty solid score for Suns, they can get another young player to add to the core.
The 2nds are just optics and silly, but can have some utility.

I think this is a really solid trade for both teams. Suns especially did well. They can go forward with Jalen Green and Dillon Brooks, and draft a big man. It gives them a lot of balance. Beal is the only issue on that team now.

All that posturing in the media by the Suns and THIS is what they ended up taking for Durant?

Whatever I guess. Good for Houston

They really need to knock #10 out of the park or have a follow up trade in the works.

Front office is just owners yesmen, I honestly would not fault their front office, current, previous, whatever.. If they at fault for anything, is taking that mummet job, they being controlled by the ass by a guy with the money.

Likely move Booker as well at some point. He’s not going to carry any team as the sole option and it does nothing for the Suns to keep him.

Reports are they will reroute Green as well. I think Detroit gets Booker and maybe the Bucks make expiring out of Green.

Houston traded young/healthy starters in Jalen & Brooks (and the #10 pick) for an older injury prone guy, so this move does really open up the roster for Smith, Eason, Whitmore & Reed.

He's 38 and has declined in the playoffs. We're not talking about KD from 3/4 years ago. That being said, the rockets will have a very deep and strong lineup.

What a joke of a trade for Houston. They realize that KD is 37, right?

PHX couldn't have hoped for a better return.
