Herro/DMitchell
Wiggins/Larrson
Derozan/Highsmigth
Bam/Jovic
Ware

Is a competitive core.

Just to really inflame things, I'll throw in a Wiggins and Jovic for Randle trade and sign Schroder in FA. Full-throated offense  :

Bam
Randle
DeRozan
Herro
Schroder

Core of Bam, Randle, Ware, Herro, Derozan, Schroder, DMitchell, Larsson, Highsmigth can make some noise in the East.

I wonder if the Kings would take Robinson (~$15M in savings this year if they cut him, and $38M savings over DeRozan's contract) + 20 for DeRozan.

I think the Suns are about to blow it up. This type of trade makes no sense otherwise. Like on paper Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the 10th pick, and 5 2nd rounders is worth more than the 20th, Wiggins, Ware and or Jaime, Duncan, and Jovic, but not if they were actually trying to be competitive next season. And I understand the Heat not adding another pick because that would probably be an over pay for 37 year old Durant. It just makes no sense roster construction wise for the Suns to make this trade. Hell, get Jabari or someone else. Someone that you can actually use next season. Now they have an absolute cluster **** of a roster with a couple picks coming off missing the playoffs. The only choices now are they're hoping to make another trade that makes this make sense or Booker will be traded away too within the year.

The HEAT were LITERALLY on the same page as most of this board...

Some combination of Wiggins/Duncan/Rozier plus one pick and one of Jovic/Jaime was the offer.

They can't really. They don't own their picks. All of them. Some team either has them outright or its a swap for next 6 years. So if they blow it up, they are gifting other teams lottery picks

NO ONE wants Wiggins lol

If you want to bitch about Riley, taking back Wiggins and his contract in the Butler trade was BAD.

“Most of this board” isn’t good company to compare yourself to if you’re running an nba franchise

So you guys were ok trading the whole bag(as small as it)for KD with nothing left to make another move?

I wouldn't be. The part about trading MORE draft picks besides the 20th makes it an easy no for me.

Which is why we are probably misunderstanding what Sham's wrote.

Agreed. I think the Suns asked for #20, a future frp, haywood, jovic, jjj along with duncan rozier since we wouldn't offer up ware. And thats what they'd need to take it over Jalen Green (a volatile and controversial asset, some like him some think his deal sucks - so it really depends how suns value him and if they think they can flip him for more assets or player thats a better fit next to book), #10 , Dillon Brooks (who they might like better than rozier for example) and 5 2nd round picks.

Depends who was going out. Rozier, Robinson, Jaquez, Jovic, and 2 1sts isn't ideal, but I wouldn't miss any of those guys.

I'm sure they are going to be making a lot more trades with what they got there, Green makes no sense on their roster at all.

I do wonder if this ends with us sending Wiggins back to Golden State and them sending us Jimmy back…

Just about everything he’s done since the Jae/Iggy trade has been garbage. Sprinkle in a year and a half of solid Lowry I guess if you want.

PHX got more or less what they wanted & we didn't break the bank for a 37 yo only to be knocked out of R2 at best. The focus now should be to just get off some of these bad contracts.

Not overpaying was the right move. Lets see where they go from here
