Houston has a comical amount of assets left. They still have more Phoenix picks and a Brooklyn pick.

They didn't give up any of their other core players either. This might not be all that they do.

KAT for Booker 8-)

I can see the Suns being intrigued by a Jalen Green and KAT duo

In that case you go all in for Giannis

Mikal, Hart, Mitch and all the picks we have

We basically become Lebron Heat with better offense but worse defense... it wont matter who plays center

Throwing Brooks in the trade makes it a bad trade and Houston will get worse.

This used to be the **** our old FO would do. Thank goodness!

They have most of their own picks, in addition to Sheppard, Whitmore, Eason, Smith, Thompson and Sengun. Then they have the Nets & Suns 2027, as well as the Suns or Mavs 2029.

Their future is fine, they could easily trade for another star if they wanted to. But I think it's pretty obvious they're going to use Vanvleet and KD as their vets, while hoping of the younger players becomes an all-star next to Sengun.

This was a low risk move for them.

Didn't give up Sheppard, core players and didn't even give Phoenix back their own picks. KD could tear up his knee and they'd still have someone that could come in and start (Smith or Eason).

Rockets were nasty last year & now have a clutch closer if he stays healthy. Bet Giannis doesn't go West...

It was always a childish thought, if not to say foolish, ridiculous, naive etc. you can be proud of yourself if it was only a part-time thing for you.

The Suns just dumped him and very serious people suggested the answer to our problems would be trading Towns for him :noway: and I don’t even care if it is still allowed to remind these people of it. It should be.

They didn’t trade anything of great value… Green, Brooks and a single pick are not “the future”. It’s much more accurate to say they were never part of their future plans.

None of the players the suns got for kd are worth much. The best is that number 10 pick which is a mystery. Like someone said Green is a negative player.

And kd is a huge get for the rockets. They were desperate for a bucket getter and kd despite his age is still one of the best in the Association at getting buckets.

This is huge for the rockets.

Goes to show how forgiving we are as fans. Very mature of us to look past his foolish mistakes and welcome him into our home. We freely give grace.

The Rockets got worse, the defense got worse. What’s KD going to do in Houston that he couldn’t do in Phoenix?
