IQ is still proving he's a starter, he's a defacto one because we don't have a better option on the roster.

Monk is only a year older with a similar rate of production and cost $12.5M/yr less so it's an easier contract to move in any future deals or cap space to use on bringing in additional talent elsewhere.

I agree that some of his attitude/drive helped fuel them but really HOU wants to be able to continue to start Amen and with him Brooks & Sengun that's just too little shooting and I'm sure Eason can take on a greater role.

Getting rid of Green is probably addition by subtraction. It opens up more minutes for Eason, Sheppard and Whitmore. The 10th pick would have a tough time cracking their rotation anyways.

that heat offer may not have been as 'sexy' or flashy but it would've made way more sense from a roster perspective.

it's absolutely a win. green is an overpaid chucker that didn't fit udoka's team at all. they'll be way better off without him.

Rockets are going to be good next year....This maybe Durants best situation team wise since OKC/GSW.....They gave up a good starter in Brooks but they replaced Green with one of the most efficient scorers in the league....

Thats a deep rotation....Good for Rockets....As for Suns their team looks like a jumbled mess now with players that do not fit together well at all...Don't really like it for them unless they decide to trade Green/Brooks for players that make more sense for them...

I think it just made more sense if the goal is to make to at least make another Finals in his career as obv the path in the East is way easier and it also would've benefited the league (not so much us lol) to increase viewership for the Eastern Conference Playoffs.

KD made no sense for the Raptors. Terrible team last year, we added Ingram (KD-lite), why would we give up young players and draft capital for a 37 year old? This isnt a Kawai situation where they were an amazing team and he was the missing piece.

He was never going to stay if we traded for him. He didn’t want to come here. It would have been a Kawhi situation only coming off several lottery seasons.

lol as I said, their offer without ware with JJJ/Jovic still made more sense for the suns than what they got from houston.

ishbia may have this idea about what jalen green is as an possible future asset that doesn't match reality.

KD would have won us a few more games over BI. He's not a superstar anymore. I wasn't a fan of the BI trade, but it was still infinitely better value than any potential KD trade. BI is a decade younger than KD and only cost us a pick in the 20s and some aging role players.
