No sane person would think that could possibly work out well, especially with Beal (and Allen) also at SG.

Which either means that the Suns FO is posturing to get a better deal for Green (which should have been lined up before agreeing to this deal - it was still going to be available next week) or else the Suns FO is even dumber then widely believed - which boggles the mind.

Jalen Green already entering the journeyman part of his career, and his rookie contract just ended. You have to assume Phoenix won’t be his team next year.

Maybe this inspires him to play less me-ball. Or maybe not.

Or… Phoenix/Ishbia is just insane. Also possible.

Somehow I didn't realize until now the Rockets board is dead. I guess they're all on clutchfans.

Hopefully Phoenix has another trade lined up. That Jalen Green contract is going to be untradable a year from now.

Ishbia and Gregory are spineless. Should’ve taken the Miami deal because they were offering another 1st and Jovic.

Also right about the value I thought. He is about to be 37, the price wasn't going to be astronomical.

Kuzma and Connaughton for Jalen Green and a couple seconds

(with a Milwaukee vet min dumped on a third team)

Seems like a reasonable follow up. Not believing Phoenix actually wants to try Jalen/Book backcourt..

Reddit and Twitter too (like all fan bases). Clutchfans is probably a little bit less active than it used to be a decade ago.

Getting rid of Green was addition by subtraction. No actually good players involved in the deal other than Durant. I simply don't get it.

That pretty much takes them out of the Claxton market unless they are moving Beal. Brooks' salary could be flipped for CamJ. They could also dump Allen for no returning salary to duck the 2nd apron.

Another very exciting thing to look out for is Houston needs to add $300k to this trade to avoid being capped at the first apron so be on the lookout for some lucky team to get cash to waive Nate Williams who gets partially guaranteed for $300k

Good deal for both teams imo. More than Phoenix was going to get by my expectations but Houston is in the enviable position of (being very capable of) paying that price.

Houston will be a handful next year good for them and good for Phoenix for salvaging the situation.

They literally have an untradable contract in Beal… any contract by default is tradable compared to that one.

Can Brooks fetch a late first?

Highly unlikely… would you trade a late for him?

It would have to be a worse contract coming back or the Suns adding #10 to Brooks for player that team doesn’t want to pay.

What's the process involved in becoming an NBAPA member? I'd be happy to get traded and waived for 300k... :D

This is better trade than what was floated earlier.

Green, Landale, 10 was what we heard from the Rockets guys.

Getting Brooks and 5 SRPs is a good compromise.

Yes but he's a good fit on Suns at SF.
Green doesn't make much sense next to Booker unless they making Booker the PG.

Booker, Green, Brooks, Dunn
Tyus, Beal, O'Neale, Oso, Richards

Seems like trading Allen for a big is the need.
