Jalen Green leading the Rockets in attempts with 17.5 at 42%.

The Rockets removed two problems off their books.

Now, they need to remove FVV who shot 37% from the field.

That''s a great deal of money for three players that are bad shooters. Roughly $100m per season.

FVV is still shooting sub 40% ? man...

I don't think Indy would do that actually.

And I really disagree on the comparison -- Nesmith is a valuable asset, Mathurin has more potential than Green.

Jalen is a clear negative asset, and Brooks is just OK. I like this trade for the Rockets but don't think Indy would want to make that trade. Nesmith clicks with the Indy core, Green didn't in Hou and Brooks choked in Game 7 (and motivated the GS stars).

I seriously think it's gross that he has been with so many teams. It's such a huge detractor for Kevin. He literally hasn't done anything since the Warriors and he should've gone back to the warriors just for the legacy. It's crazy.

Then Jalen Green and Kuminga could lead the tank, they would have missed the playoffs, had their own pick at 15, and the 10 pick. It would have chopped two years off of the rebuild timeline.

Problem was and still is that apparently KD was adamant about not wanting to go back to GSW just like he didn’t want to go to Min or NYK either cause clearly they could’ve also offered something equal to this too. Phx clearly did not want to make KD unhappy and say “screw what’s best for you”. I’m sure GSW would want to accommodate Steph too if he ever wants out

What exactly would the T Wolves give up?

Jaden McDaniels is one of their only valuable pieces.

The Spurs control the Wolves 2026 pick first round pick.

The Wolves don't have 2027 or 2029 first round picks.

Spurs control the Wolves 2030 pick.

So, I fail to see the value the Wolves have.....

The Phoenix Suns turned 4 unprotected firsts, 1 unprotected swap, Mikal Bridges, Cameron Johnson & Jae Crowder into...Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, the 10th pick in this year's draft and 5 seconds.
Amazong how this team transitioned into a shot show after the 21 finals run. I know they kind of overachieved, but this is unheard of.

Fred was the Rockets third option on offense and he shot 37% from the field.

Jalen the #1 option shot 42% from the field, Dillon Brooks 4th option shot 42% from the field, and there are far too many players on the Rockets roster with or close to double digit attempts.

It’s been 4 years. Houston gave him a nice payday to improve and he can’t do that either and he has negative trade value too

Why would you blame the most efficient player in the team for failures?
And in the Olympics everybody in that team would have lost if they didn't have Curry, as he totally saved them from losing the gold medal !!
So why blame Durant for Curry being the reason for them winning gold? Why not blame all the other players?

The stats look nice and it might seem like he's still the same prime Durant from stats.

But in reality, he's not at all. In truth, he had already definitely declined. So using stats to project he keeps on such a production for several more years isn't really accurate.

He's been declining already, and eventually the offensive production will also decline. Probably sooner, rather than later.

I'm not against the move for the Rockets, I just don't think you can reasonably think he has that kind of production, for that amount of years left.

Age 38 ... 26ppg
Age 39 ... 25ppg
Age 40 ... 25ppg
Age 41 ... 24ppg
And might actually score more than 26ppg, because he's getting more efficient with age!

Durant 3-pointer shooting:
Phoenix .427
Brooklyn .400
Golden State .384
Oklahoma City .380

It doesn't work like that; you can't reliably predict when age catches up to athletes. When that happens, their play takes a huge drop off a cliff. Either that or they start getting injured.

I guess because Durant proved he's a more efficient scorer AFTER being seriously injured  it makes future injuries look like no problem

The positive is he doesn't really rely on his athletism too much. He should still be productive for a while barring injuries.

That's who he is at this point. He's a career 40% shooter.

KD will be 37 and has it hasn't worked his last two stops now. This is what his value is, and it's only declining from here.

Brooks is a valuable defensive stopper on a reasonable contract for two years. That's a trade asset for a contender. Suns got five 2nds to take swings. And yes, they agreed to take on Jalen Green who might be a bust but is also very talented and only 23. I dispute that they "only" got a quality pick here. They got a bunch of stuff and we don't know yet how that stuff will play out. Suns did better than I expected.

Just because it's more than you expected doesn't mean it's good. This is the most positive spin you could give and it's still not good.

Meanwhile KD is heading to the deepest team he's played on in close to a decade with a ton of young talent that's already good. This is the easiest he's had it since 2018.

Yes, this is good for KD. I don't disagree with you there. But I don't like it for Rockets. In addition to what I've already said, KD is expiring and has a history of wearing out his welcome fast. Suns got the better end of the deal imo.

Thought for sure he was Spurs bound. Literally just read there was no interest by the Suns in taking Green. Plus they kept a ton of FRP’s? Magic got shafted in that Bane trade good grief
