If they let Brook walk, even if Bibby stays and they retain Sims, they’d still need another rotational big and Reed would be a good add on a min salary.

Paul Reed doesn't seem like the biggest Doc Rivers guy to be signing up for the minimum here.

And by doesn't seem like the biggest Doc Rivers guy I mean I think he might genuinely hate him.

Then Doc gets to choose between playing him, playing Smith, or playing small.

Markanen and Sexton for Lillard and Kuzma works in realgm trade checker. Does Tyler Smith and 31 1st offer enough sweetener to maybe get Ainge to do it?

I don't think Paul Reed choosing to sign here for peanuts is Doc Rivers choice.

Gross. Lauri’s deal is bad.

If you think a guy could be a top-3 player and part of a new core with Giannis, then they are absolutely worth everything we can currently offer, whether that’s Lauri, Reaves, Coby White, Trey Murphy, etc.

Whoever you prefer.

We currently have 1 1st, 1 unprotected swap, and 2 swap of swaps. I guess we also have the ‘28 swap, but that’s already getting swapped multiple times between Portland and Washington, so it likely holds no value.

We have to weigh the value of immediate cap space to pursue free agents to pair with Giannis against selling low on Dame & to a lesser extent Kuz (doesn't create cap space by himself). I'm generally against the latter, but it could be argued as opportunity cost.

That said, I'm most for the trade where I can see the core player to pair w/ Giannis from the outset. Because cap space holds no inherent value & you have to wait on it. And we're not going to get a core player if we're dealing Dame's or Kuz' contract. Why I like Brook/Bobby (s&t) + our '31 1st more. And Reaves works so well for us in these deals cuz he's not making a big #, yet. We don't have to send out Dame, or even Kuz to dilute value.

Per Gambo, a KD trade is imminent.

IMO, if it’s a multi-team trade, I would not be shocked if we’re involved now or later with some Phoenix players that may be in the deal (O’Neale, Cody Martin, maybe Grayson?). Just a feeling I have, no sourced info whatsoever.

I would think that O’Neale is especially on our radar as a 3 and D vet. His best days are behind him but if we could get him for Pat and our second round capital, I’d do it.

Id love Grayson back if it didn’t cost anything.

He's not worth $54 million imo
I'm against picketing but I don't know how to show it.

Would not be surprised if Phoenix might actually be interested in that considering their lack of any real wing/forward depth. They really only have Brooks/Dunn/O’Neale?

Would swap Kuz for Grayson in a heartbeat, even with Grayson’s warts.

Can the Bucks make a big trade today as well since the NBA clearly doesn’t care about the on court product at all?

I’d be interested in Jalen Green, be nice if we could get pick 29 out of it too

The fact that this is news the day of game 7 of the NBA **** Finals illustrates a very real problem for the league
