I hope some move lifts Toronto. Barnes played his best with above average starters around him. Playing with Ingram will help but we need another good starter around him that can elevate the team like a Haliburton does for Indy. Maybe Coward or Jase add the shooting and event creation needed. Live to get Tre Johnson.

Unless they are locked in on Malauch I definitely think this the perfect draft to get more assets in a trade down

If KM is there we pick him
If hes not, i think we trade back and hopefully we pick up another pick

Is Scottie a possible all defense type? Are we trading Scottie to give CMB the minutes to reach his all defense ceiling? Or do we get two more 6'6 psudo bigs with 7ft+ wingspans who can't shoot and then run Scottie/CMB/Mogbo/x/x lineup? NWO team 6'7 all defense. We could be onto the next Steph Curry like NBA meta change with that.

Yeah he has some mid range creativity a bit like Middleton. Struggles to dribble in traffic but really good in transition. Very good catch and shoot guy, probably one of the best in the class. Probably not very good pull up and off the bounce from deep like Middleton turned into but that may improve.

Queen to either Phoenix or Chicago makes a lot of sense. Chicago still makes more sense, I think Phoenix prefers Khaman over Queen.

I don't see Khaman going past the raptors however

I would be very happy with Queen.
Sometimes it’s best to just pick the most talented player, not worry about every perceived flaw.
And not worry about whether a player is an inch shorter, or has a slightly smaller wingspan or standing reach. None of that really matters.

I hope they take the best player. Bottom tier teams without a real core should never draft on fit. If it's CMB, take him and figure out the rest later.

Yes true. Scottie/Ingram/IQ/RJ/Jak/Gradey... That's bottom tier/fake core.

You draft CMB, definitely the BPA. Lucky the 8 teams infront of us don't see it, as there has been close to no interest in him from those teams. Lucky us.

We punt our 31st pick last year Mogbo into the sun. Look to figure a trade for Scottie down the line. This could work. This direction makes sense.

This is the hope. Is someone desperate enough to take Demin, Noa, or CMB before Maluach?

If KM goes to Brooklyn in this scenario and a trade down doesn’t materialize I would not be shocked at all to see them take Coward here.

My guess right now...

1. DAL - Flagg
2. SAS - Harper
3. PHI - VJ
4. CHA* - traded to BKN - Ace
5. UTH - Tre
6. WAS - Fears
7. NOP - Kon
8. CHA - Maluach (since the relationship with Williams & the franchise is ruined)
9. TOR* - traded to ATL - Queen
10. PHX - Jak

We trade back to 13 to take one of Bryant, Essengue or Coward and then one of Wolf or Yang at 22...but man I'm still deep down praying we get Maluach, I just believe in his potential here.

Agree

The fit with Scottie should only be one criteria over handful + of criteria.

Should not be a de facto disqualifier
