Idiosyncratic wrote:Amazing to me how Carlisle has completely figured out the Thunder's offense. They aren't passing the ball at all and cannot generate 3s. Just winning games on pure talent gap at this point. Game 7s are typically really ugly, if OKC keeps up this no passing thing it could be extra hideous. One thing going for them is they have looked unbeatable at home, but Pacers have a real chance here if they can start hot from 3 IMO.

The Thunder offense leans heavily on transition opportunities and Shai’s isolation scoring. Any team that can match their defensive intensity, win the turnover battle, and avoid getting buried by the free throw disparity Shai often creates has a shot. Easier said than done—beyond Shai and JDub, the talent is well-distributed enough that OKC can comfortably run a 10-man rotation. That keeps their energy and pressure in passing lanes relentless. They’re young, deep, and well-coached.

So apparently Jalen Green + Dillon Brooks + 10th pick onf the draft + 5 future second round picks was good enough to land Kevin Durant …. WOW

That will need a new contract next season. I personally don't think he moves the needle much for Houstan.... They still have assets to make another move though, so we'll see.

That seems solid for one year of KD to me. Like it for both sides. Phoenix pick value probably up though? Can they flip Green for a passable C?

Edit* actually forgot Green was paid so much, seems they could have eeked out another 1st to take him on.

Also there is like no way not to love this for Houston IMO. We now need Houston vs OKC in the playoffs next year.

Also, I don’t like Presti, SGA, Dort, and Chet. I like Carlisle, McConnell, and Nembhard.

Rob did his old boss and now current boss a huge favor with that Ibaka trade…

The Suns should be good enough if they put it all together to keep that pick worse than top 10…I have a soft spot for Green, but not in PHX…I wonder if they’ll flip him?

Green, Grayson Allen & #10 for Lauri?

KD forced it. They were in a bad position.

Hope we play KD in the playoffs.

Houston, Indiana, and OKC were on our level back in 2022 (Hou 20 wins, Orl 22 wins, OKC 24 wins, Ind 25 wins)... yet, here they are as legit title contenders with most, if not a surplus, of their draft capital intact.

We are in a good spot but it could have been better with better management.

Eh, the Suns were not going to contend thus having a 37 year old KD wasn't going to make a difference. At least now, they got something back for him.

Sooo word out in the streets.. they are tradig Beal AND Jalen Green. Rhe 10th pick is supposed to be the asset attached to Beal for a team to get him.

Suns gonna fight this 26 season

To be fair...

OKC in 2022 was not really a true 24 win team. They shutdown a bunch of healthy players, including SGA, and closed the season 2-23 over their final 25 games. It was one of the more aggressive and brazen outright tanking we've seen in a minute.

Indiana traded three first round picks to get Siakam last year which is more or less the equivalent of the Bane trade for the Magic now. I also don't think, even though they've had a truly amazing playoff run, that Indiana is actually a team that is actually going to contend for multiple championships. They were 9th in offense, 14th in defense, 13th in NET this year. This feels more like an all-time heater than the start of a team that's gonna kick ass for years to come.

Houston has managed their situation quite well.

Yeah same thinking. OKC did a Tim Duncan season and got Chet.

IND... well more luck than skill tonwhere they are. I mean how many game winning last shots didthey have this PO?

HOU and ORL are where they are because of proper draft movement and development
