What happens to Beal?
He's either stretch and waived or he's traded I think.
He doesn't make sense on the roster now.
So, which teams would Beal waive his NTC for?
Any trades possible?

Gambo just doubled down on his claim that Beal won’t be a Sun next season. 90% he gets bought out. He did mention that there may be a team with bad money that he could get flipped for and willing to go. Who that is, I have no idea.

Would stretching Beal get Phoenix under the 2nd apron?

$23.2m is most that Suns can have on dead money for S+W. They have $3.8m already dead so they can only take on $19.38m.
So Beal needs to be bought out for $97m or under.
He has to be willing to give back $14m on what he's owed. So he'd be looking to line up a team to recoup that money (he should be able to get an NT-MLE at the very least).

It would be salary cap insanity to stretch waive him. He's owed $110.8 million with a NTC he doesn't want to be traded. If you Stretch waive him what is that $22 million per year for 5 years that you can't get off your books? Instead of pain for 2 years you now have it for 5 years.
I'd just eat the salary and keep him on the team, even if Booker is traded. Just eat it.

They can get like $20m under the tax line if the stretch and waive Beal. They can reset repeater and add an MLE player.
I think it's pretty tempting for them.

Assuming they can use it, Milwaukee, Denver, Dallas, Detroit, Indiana, San Antonio, and New York would all happily give Beal the MLE.

Re: What happens to Beal?
IDK what the Suns are gonna do but here's what I'd do.
Send Booker to the Nets for Cam Johnson and the Suns picks back plus 1 #1 The issue with this is I can't figure out what Brooklyn has done with the Suns picks I can't make heads or tails out of the info on the draft pick page. maybe someone can tell me what the hell this means?
The Nets draft picks.

Beal + 29 for Grant + RWIII.
PHX balances its roster a ton.
PDX shaves a year from Grant and gets a pick.
(Contingent on a team trading for Simons)

I don't think that's right can you show the numbers? I've got the Suns at $218.7 million for 2025-26. Stretching Beal would be about $22 million for 5 years, unless you can get him to take less but why would he.
That puts them at $187 million approx. That's with 10 guys not counting draft picks. That's at the tax line for 2025-26 right. I've got the tax line at $187.9 million. According to Sportrac.

You have to get Beal to waive his NTC.

Think you’re including Micic and Martin. Who should not be Phoenix suns for much longer.

Re: What happens to Beal?
Is there something like..
DJM and salary to Phoenix
Beal, maybe smaller salary, 2028 worst of-first, 3rd team minor asset to NOP
CJM to third team
Dallas sending Gafford to Phoenix, Phoenix adding 29th to NOP? Then figuring out the other salary Dallas sends since neither side would really want Klay.. Martin+Hardy+Powell split up? Or a fourth team that sort of wants Klay’s spacing?
But could be different team than Dallas?

Yeah Martin, Micic and Richards could all be cut they look to be non-guaranteed. That's $21.7 million they could save. That must have been how Zimpy was getting his number.

I think Beal + 10 doesn't really bring back anything nearly so positive as these trade ideas below. Beal is only two years but it's two really financially onerous years and then tack on Beal has to approve of the city/location he is being sent to.

I don't see any team taking Beal and just getting #10, they'd have to be sending back bad salary and be in a position to eat that salary and not care about winning for 2 years.

The only team that doesn't laugh at these offers is Portland and Beal says no.
Perhaps Beal + #10 to Portland with a buyout for Beal arranged. Not a waive and stretch, just a waive and eat a bunch of dead money for 2 years then be done with it.

This reminds me of when Westbrook was with the Lakers and they wanted to move him offering their 2027 #1. Finally got the Jazz to do it, but most teams said no.
