Disagree healthy Celts would have repeated. OKC is not as good as the regular season numbers said. If they were as dominant as many thought they wouldn’t have lost 7 post season games.celtics swept the Pacers last year when the rosters were very similar.

We both know even though it was a sweep, the pacers could have easily won 2 or 3 games. It was the closest sweep ever. One wrong bounce and that series could have been like the Knicks series this year.

True.

The difference was the Cs didn't choke in crunch time in Games 3 and 4 against the Pacers.

Celtics were saved by JB's miracle 3 that tied the game in Game 1.

Who knows what would have happened if the Cs lost that Game 1.

This year the Cs got cocky and jacked up 60 3s in Game 1 against the Knicks.

If Cs won that Game 1, I think JT would not have gotten injured and the Cs would be in the ECF.

Wishing good luck to the Pacers. What a season, one for the history books, if not the most legendary season for a franchise, ever.
I hope they come out GUNZ blazing!
Good assessment:

I am not sure. KP was a net negative, and both JB and Jrue were clearly playing through injuries. They just weren’t themselves. Hauser was cold all season. If even one or two of those guys had performed at last season’s level, I still believe the Celtics would’ve been favorites against both teams, especially against the Pacers.

Yup.. We were worn out. We should've rested guys more in the regular season.

Anyone can play the what if game. What if JT didn’t turn his ankle the first minute of the game 7 ECF against the Heat? What if Tatum didn’t put hurt his Achilles this year? What if Brown had a healthy knee?

Celtics don’t get the benefit of the doubt with a lot of posters on this board so let’s keep that same energy when discussing other teams. Fact of the matter is Indy got SWEPT! And for all the hype on OKC they have lost over twice as many post season games as the Celtics did last year. They got lucky Celtics had injuries.

I'm rooting for Indy - I'd rather a league champ that emphasizes motion and the team concept - on offense, defense, bench, 48 minutes all in

Don't like the hack cuz they can't call them all, foul hunting iso ball OKC

Some people say stars need to step up in a game seven. I'm actually opposite. I think it's the role players who may or may not get nervous. Or may or may not step up.

I actually think this game is going down the wire and I certainly hope this game is not decided By a flop or two

May the best team win. Just hoping for a close game all the way down to the wire.

What is shock to absolutely soft curves in favor of s a e with Nesmith..

Nesmith is a great defender against everyone else, but against SGA he turns into Daniel Theis.

Mathurin is a tough player, but there is no way. He is clutch at shooting shots at this stage.

That looks much worse than a calf. Injury, that literally looks like is achilles popping. Which of course, could have been caused by a tight calve muscle.

That’s 100% an achilles pop. He’s done. Poor guy man that was tough to watch and he knew it also.

I don't blame Hali for playing but I hope Stephen A Smith feels some sort of way for his rant about how Carlisle needed to let him play thru his calf strain (or whatever it was).

I'm irrational as **** so I will just blame Steve Kerr for the Tatum and Haliburton Achilles tears. He benched them in the Olympics, now see what happened!

I hate to say it but another olympics player injury (know Hali didnt play much but he was practicing with team etc.)

Just way too much bball in the last year, especially for the star players who play the most minutes. Pacers had a deep playoff run last year too. I said it before but if I’m a playoff contender I never let my guys play extra exhibitions
