Re: 2025 Offseason Season Thread Vol. 2
I dont see us competing seriously the next two seasons so im calling phoenix about Beal.. i want to see if theyll throw firsts for expirings. Attach the #10 pick with beal and a protected first and im absorbing that contract for expirings.

I'm not opposed to the idea, but we could offer Boston some salary relief by sending Rozier's expiring contract along with Jagsmith.
Rozier would be returning to play for Brad Stevens. Essentially, it's only two years of Jrue, with his final season being a tradable $37 million expiring contract.

Who is to say Beal waives his no-trade clause.

They are just going to end up buying him out. They are not going to burn that 10th pick in a dump.

Rozier and Highsmith is a dollar for dollar salary match.

Wild. I’ll give the Sixers a darkhorse mention under the assumption Embitch comes back at an MVP level.
Magic are loving the Bane trade even more right now, missing out on KD hurts a little more

And I’m sorry but if that’s the case we need to look at signing him for the minimum. He’s not a minimum level player by any means and his contract and fit in Phoenix has made him underrated

Unserious offer. The fact that they refused to include Jovic is unreal as well... if you're keeping Ware WHY are you holding onto your bench 4 man? should be 1 of the easiest value pieces to offer. at least you can argue that Jaquez would be needed as a wing
Houston hung on to their bench 4 in Jabari Smith. He sat behind Thompson in the back half of the year. He will behind KD now as Thompson bumps down to the 3
not sure what you are saying but it is wrong - also Jabari is a far better prospect than Jovic so why even compare? Smith will start alongside KD. Amen will start at the 2. Also they have enough dynamic young defenders to switch things up in terms of "positions"
Yes I was wrong, I forgot about the absence of the Jalen Green and how that affects the lineup.
Jabari Smith is going into his 4th year and is a 3 and D average jump shooter who lost his starting spot last year. Not much of any on ball stuff so far. Is that all he'll be? I don't know, but his game isn't growing on this version of the Rockets. He'll be expected to space and knock down shots in that lineup. That was his role the last two seasons. For a team who needed offensive punch the last couple years, they did not put more on his shoulders.
What would Nikola Jovic be right now if he was drafted on a bad team who gave him 30 minutes a night his first couple years to figure things out. They're both too far removed to use draft status and pedigree as a differentiator

We still have time to regroup. Just need to make some screwed moves. There’s plenty of talent available to round out this team.

That would be a record setting buyout hes got 2 years 100 million remaining.. we can put together 48 million in expirings

The off-season hasn't even started yet!
Crazy that the league allows trades during the Finals....i don't remember that being the case in previous years.

He will have plenty of suitors. Maybe even more than minimum offers. Could see him going to one of the LA teams cause of his wife

What's crazy is we have to wait four months for next season to start. And THEN the boring part of the year will begin.

They don’t care. They are not giving up their assets to dump him. Especially the 10th damn pick. That’s just more hope traffic
