VJ + Rasheer Fleming still my best-case haul.

Also fine with Ryan the Kraken if we settle for picking in the 2nd, only place this FO spends a pick on a traditional big I think.

What is the selling point of Fleming in Charlotte? Not that I think he is a bad player but I also don’t get the obsession with trading up for him vs others in that range

We who like Fleming see him as a significant upgrade over Tiddy as a reserve PF. Reporters and draft analysts seem to have cooled on him more recently, with his range likely somewhere in the 20’s. He’s not a creator with the ball, but he showed a strong 3 point shot, good rebounding, good athleticism, decent defender and a huge wingspan. Agree there are other players in that range that could be better picks for this team. But we need a big with that extra 1st rounder we should trade for. Several good ones there, but mostly reaches now likely in round 2.
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

My take is that once you get outside of the top 16 or prospects there really isn't a huge gap between 17th and 35th overall.

Asa Newell
Rasheer Fleming
Danny Wolf
Maxime Raynaud
Jase Richardson
Nique Clifford
Walter Clayton Jr
Will Riley
Hugo Gonzalez
Noah Penda
Ben Saraf
Ryan Kalkbrenner
Bogoljub Markovic
Liam McNeely
Drake Powell
Adou Thiero
Joan Beringer
Chaz Lanier

So I would be more open to drafting for fit at that point, if I am just looking at Hornets only I think Powell, Thiero, Lanier and Hugo Gonzalez would be great fits and they might be 2nd day prospects. I could be talked into the bigs as well just because 7 footers have staying power in the NBA.

Guys I don't really think make much sense for Hornets are Beringer, McNeely, Markovic, Clayton Jr, Jace, Fleming and Riley. I still like them as players but just don't really see appeal for Hornets if we assume this range is mostly flat talent wise.

I agree, Drake Powell, Adou Thiero, and Hugo Gonzalez would be my favorite targets for Hornets' second pick as well

positional size, high energy defense and offensive upside, big fan of all 3 for the Hornets

Sure hope you're right because we're about to test that theory. Like Fleming as a real 4/5 who can shoot, which this FO's shown they want.

I guess I better Start paying attention to the players in this range now. I really really thought the Hornets were going to package that 29th pick with these second round picks to move up further in the first round. I was kind of shocked when it never happened.
