So I said this in game 1 when I thought Indiana was going to lose, but it applies here:

It sucks that people are going to de-legitimize the Pacers because they lose this series. And are going to start calling their players frauds just because they struggled this game, especially with Haliburton out. They pushed a 68 win Thunder team to 7 games and lost their best/second best player early. Even had a 1 point lead at half time. Hate on Pascal, Mathurin, TJ, Nembhard, Nesmith, Toppin, etc all you want, but they all came up big at various times this playoff run that had them in a game 7 against an overwhelming favorite. They played their heart out and were clearly one of the best teams in the league in their own right.

Let’s just say Pacers found more respect that the Thunder made fans after this series.

That’s good news for the league; a super villain type of squad because they are just too strong relative to these perceived contenders and a new darling of a team in the Pacers, who have convinced all of us that a deep team without a true elite star can be successful in the modern NBA.
