No fanbase for a franchise? They’ll get the headlines for 24 hours and that’s it. That’s the sad state of the NBA when small market and non popular star wins it— if any Canada should step up and fete their hero(es) but do they even care?

Congrats to the Thunder though. I do not think they're as dominant as their numbers suggest, but they were the best team all season long.

Absolutely gut-wrenchingly heartbreaking for the Pacers though. They can't even look forward to next season either, now.

Still don't personally have SGA as the best player in the league but he definitely has a claim to it
What this year did though is cement an undeniable top 3 imo, SGA/Jokic/Giannis (in any order really)

I didn’t properly respect the Pacers before the Knicks series. I respect them now. Carlisle is brilliant. Nembhard has the heart of a lion. Not sure how to approach next season but the near future still feels like legit contention.

Ah interesting.

Different players at different times though. Kobe was still young and Shaq was the clear MVP of that series.

Even though Shai shot it poorly these Finals, he's the clear Finals MVP as no one else really stepped up consistently to outshine him.

I dont know he's got a lot in those 5 seasons. There are a lot more questionable guys in the HOF with less of a resume than him. Bottom line is there havent been that many players to win MVP, a title and Finals MVP in the same season recently. Shai is easily a first ballot HOFer in my opinion.
