Two teams in the finals where all their key players were drafted outside of the top 10. OKC acquired their superstar and Indy did the same with Hali.

Pacers never had any top 5 picks and OKC only had one which they used on Chet.

OKC isn’t something a team can copy because that George trade is a once in a lifetime type trade. But the Pacers are something that can be replicated. Finding players that compliment one another, drafting well and making timely moves are all something teams can do. Presti got the most important piece given to him but he did a great job of putting the right pieces around him.

Got to admit, I sort of like that teams like Houston, eventually Utah, etc... have OKC to deal with for the foreseeable future.
