Re: PF targets
It appears likely the Grizz will be keeping Santi’s RFA rights and are prioritizing being flexible enough to keep both he and JJJ.
If they’re motivated to keep him we’re simply not in a position to price them out.

Yeah we could likely only make things a bit more expensive for them. No one else is likely to offer him more than MLE I could see Memphis getting to resign him at MLE money.

Re: PF targets
If we get another PF, he needs to be better than Harris or close to the same level. Santi is trash compared to Harris and would have been a waste of money anyway.
Go for Naz Reid!

Re: PF targets
Cade needs a Robin, not getting that in FA. Pistons need more time for Ivey to prove healthy, for Thompson and Holland to have full offseasons etc. Detroit will have to trade for Robin, and that player might not be a PF, but they will have to trade Harris, so the FA PF could be a starter after the TDL, but only needs to be a 4th or 5th option type.

Re: PF targets
Miami misses on KD. Maybe go in hard for Bam? Just another Robin type of idea.

I doubt they switch gears and tank because they missed out on KD.

Riley seems to have no interest in tanking, and he sets a steep price for his players. If Bam is made available, I'd reckon on the price being very high.

We need an offensive Robin. That’s not Bam anyway.

Definitely. You can never have too many good defenders.

Re: PF targets
Bam would be awesome on this team.
I kinda let that idea go when it became clear the Heat aren’t blowing it up.

Re: PF targets
Bam is a third option at best on a good team, and is insanely overrated for what it would take to get him.
Riley would ask for Ausar+Ivey+Duren plus picks, and that would still not be enough.
Not worth gutting your team for…Trajan can do better.

Re: PF targets
Just playing around at work to see what our team would look like in a deal for Bam while trying to keep Ausar. Miami isn't rebuilding anyway & didn't look to see if they have control of their picks or not.
First we trade up from #37 for a late 1st so we can trade our 2026 pick.
Det trades: Duren/Ivey/Holland/Harris/Font + picks
Miami trades: Bam & Anderson
Phoenix trades: Grayson Allen + #10
Det Recieves: Bam+ Anderson+ Grayson Allen
Phoenix Recieves: Duren & Font
Miami Recieves: Ivey+Holland+Harris + #10 pick. 2026, 2028, 2030 unprotected 1sts (maybe a pick from Phoenix if they owe value?)
Milwaukee S&T Portis for Stewart they need a C.
Resign Schroeder, THJ, Reed & Beasley with MLE + fill out the roster vet mins. Would be cool to snag Laravia on BAE but I think he gets more.
Bam/Reed/2025 1st (few C's I like here)
Portis/Laravia/Anderson
Ausar/THJ
Allen/Beasley/Sasser (if Sasser salary isn't needed)
Cade/Schroeder
Wasn't sure if Miami would want Duren with Ware so that's why he went to Phoenix.

That's very far from a contender unless Ausar becomes a star-caliber scorer. Even if he did, it would have a very weak bench.
