I have always said if you have a reputation as a tough defender you get away with way more contact. You have two in Lu Dort and CarusGOAT. Then add in Jdub, Chet, Cason Wallace, iheart. Unreal.
In the yoffs they let a lot go as well and they really push it.

When they added Caruso along with Dort, they got two guys that refs were already very comfortable allowing a high amount of physicality so it just snowballs from there.
Remind me if Kawhi and Danny Green in some ways

On the one hand, Indy was pretty physical all postseason. On the other hand, if the league doesn't put an upper limit on how much they'll let go, eventually the players will, and if it happens in a Finals, that will be a black eye.

this is what we asked for though!!! The Thunder basically brought back 90s basketball with physicality and handchecking and defense, just with modern schemes.
If anything we need more teams like this.

I would really want to see their whistle vs Lakers in playoffs next season(if the Lakers improve their team). No Fing way they would get away with that vs Lakers. And with me, talking about wanting to see Lakers whistle, u know how fing much this annoys me. I really thought they would steamroll trough playoffs bcs they looked so good, but they actualy look vulnerable. That game 4 in Indy will stay in my memory as deciding game of this run. SGA and Scott Foster teamed up, and both had preformance of their life in that game.

Commit pass interference on every play, because they won't be calling all of them. OKC is manhandling everybody out there. Very physical hand checking, CONSTANTLY. Poor TJ McConnell is getting beaten up out there and they don't call a damn thing.
Why wouldn't you employ this technique going forward? The league is going to let it go obviously.
Yea, that's kinda true. I thought McConnell got fouled 3-4 times.
Good assessment:

This whistle happened after 2 years long of criticism of OKC whistle, including coaches and players, plural, voicing their displeasure and fans in arenas also, it happened in game 7 in the NBA finals, while the opposing team tragically lost their star player, I'm really confused why they keep getting these whistles while being allowed to hack endlessly and SGA is untouchable, but I don't enjoy it, nor do I respect it, I also find the explanations for it asinine, illogical and incoherent

Before the playoff seeding was set I said I was really interested if the Warriors or Lakers would match up with OKC's bracket because Steph and LeBron were the only guys I couldn't see OKC getting away with the one-sided whistle.

Wallace literally holding onto TJ and impeding his movement in front of the ref.
What a joke.

Part of it is reputation, sure, but also the best defenders tend to be smarter about this stuff, they know exactly what the refs can and can't see in every situation and what borderline cases are usually allowed during this specific season or even stretch of a season.

Sorry but I see a guy in yellow run directly into a guy in blue, what exactly are you seeing here? A no call? It's not a defensive foul, so what's your take
00 runs directly into the path of the defender to impede his movement on purpose, neither player beats either to the spot, and neither is stationary, I get people like to casually run in front of other people in the backcourt but look that 00 does, runs at an angle explicitly to get in the way and even outs a forearm out as contact occurs.
That's a bad decision from the pacers player and forces the call to be made...

If that is what their plan is, it is the same thing as Draymond and techs. He knows they will likely give him one, but they’ll only give him 2 if he goes beyond the first one.

We're seeing different things then, no point of exchanging opinions if we see opposite data.

Well the scheme worked to a perfection as the championship proves, so other should now follow suit?

I feel Indiana was doing this to Brunson the entire ECFs though? So why complain when it’s gets turned onto them?
‘He who casts the first stone.” Can’t complain about something happening to you when you do the exact same thing.

This OKC team is straight up unwatchable. They're the current villains of the NBA with unethical ball on both ends of the floor.
If the league doesn't clean up this trash, other teams will follow suit and ratings will tank.
