It was a risk for OKC too. They cut bait on 2 multiple time allstars in George and Westbrook.
Itd be similar to us trading Bam and Herro (a less accomplished version).
OKC struck at the right time. They maxed out their value in return.
The major difference is OKC didn't draft them. OKC's philosophy was getting those talents and eventually trade for younger talants n picks. It's a different approach to build and tbh it rarely works UNLESS you luck into a lucky surprise like SGA through draft or trade
