There was talk about how he needs to take difficult shots because of the double teams, most of these are 1v1. Also, most of them are with either a smaller guard or a big on him, the presumed matchups you want a guy who is stronger than guards, quicker than bigs to be on.

In comparison, I feel like Tre is actually a legit "tough shotmaker" who definitely settles for crazy shots, but at least it makes a little more sense than what Ace was doing. I'd take Tre 10/10 times over Ace.

Trade down, damnit. Get more assets and take who's left.

get a break with getting the 3rd pick.

One guy doesn't want to be here. Another is in the middle of Fultz-ing. Another plays no defense. Another name is Kon Nipples.

we are so cursed lol

I don’t actually believe in my own theory but it’s the best I can come up with.

Here's a theory: putting out false info to find the leaker.

Yeah, thats how we do it when I was with the KGB.

Kon Academy will teach us to love him. I'm all for taking him at #3 if for no other reason than the puns.

Count me in on this conspiracy theory, I’ve been thinking the same thing.

He’s like the girl you’re not really into, but you feel obligated to show interest because your close friend recommended her, so instead of going on a real date, you suggest a Zoom call just to save money.

Probably just a smokescreen, but if there´s doubt about VJ shooting i would go Tre. Between the 2 i was already favoring Tre, we just cant have another fultz case here. If we draft Edge and his shooting explodes we will probably have to unearth Wells Fargo Center and look for relics of Indian burial grounds...

Based on Givony's latest mock draft, my ideal situation, besides trading up for Harper, would be to trade #3, Oubre, Drummond, and Gordon for #7 and Herb Jones and selecting Tre Johnson.

Hopefully saving money will help them sign Yabusele.

Maxey & Grimes / McCain, Johnson
George & Jones / Yabusele
Embiid? / Bona

I do wonder if Dumars gets aggressive. He’s starting to get grief about the Pacers trade after what happened last night.

The more I think about it, the more likely it is that we trade back. No one is a “perfect fit” and we need depth more than one guy.

Harper goes #2 to SAS. Some team will want to ensure they get their guy at #3.

Charlotte loves VJ.
Bill Simmons believes Ainge likes Bailey.
Washington feels like a fit for Kon.

Brooklyn has a lot of draft capital to play with to move up to 3. Seem like the perfect spot for Ace Bailey.

I don't think Tre makes it to 7, though.

5, 6, 7, 8. There's a trade to be made at any of those spots.

WSH already has Kispert. I could see them go Fears, however.

I honestly have no clue what the Sixers will do and have no clue what I want them to do. I think I want some kind of trade because that is how Morey can maximize the pick's value the most. Hopefully some team overpays for the 3rd pick.

It's a shame Fears is tiny, I like his game better than most of these dudes we're looking at.

4 is also in play if it's true Charlotte loves VJ. After that it appears everyone wants Ace:

4 - CHA - VJ
5 - UTA - Ace
6 - WAS - Ace
7 - NOP - Ace
8 - BKN - Ace

Only if Morey can get them to agree not to pursue Grimes in free agency :)

1) I understand that everybody looks bad in a lowlight reel, but this is just so physically painful to see. Can you imagine being forced to watch this type of basketball for the next 4 years as Maxey or McCain is standing there wide open with their hands up? Every brick = 1 Maxey/McCain tear

2) By the way, even with seeing this video, I still sort of understand the Ace Bailey appeal. Even when he misses shots or does something stupid he looks really fast. It's probably easy to convince yourself that if you can develop him, he'll be an unbelievable player, because it is true. I just think fixing him is exceedingly unlikely. Ask Taylor Swift how easy it is to fix a man.

It's smokescreen season. Who know's what's true.

Maybe they have little interest in him?

Or maybe they're really interested, but think they can trade down and still get their man so they don't want to tip the league off?
