The first is when deals can be agreed to. The sixth is when signings can be made official.

That’s pretty much it. I’ve looked at all teams depth charts. If someone can find a home for him let me know what other team makes sense. Please don’t say the Kings for DeRozan.

Unfortunately this is beyond wishful thinking. The Lakers greatest pressing need is a center which Wiggins is not. Also no team will even consider trading for Wiggins until he shows actual value on the court. Then at that point Pat will try to keep him and thus the circle of inaction from our front office is complete. The Lakers are going after a starting Center.

Lakers fans are very high on getting Wiggins. Yes they do need a Center and could get one in free agency. Lakers fans are the one ones who proposed that deal lol.

Seems I missed an explosive day on here yesterday lol

Another developmental season on deck, I guess...

Unless a special opportunity presents itself, gotta fully lean into development and optionality. Keep the books healthy, don't trade any draft capital, maybe take on a rehab project (maybe that's Wiggins?). IDK.

Tough spot when you gotta agree with Bill Simmons.

Honestly trade it, open up optionally to trade 4 1sts (not that we ever would anyways) the 20th pick doesn’t get me excited. It’s historically ass I believe. Jameer Nelson may be the best ever?

I guess it really is gonna be some version of a Derozan-level trade as the "get" this off season?

If you can obtain him for nothing (and you're refusing to trade Bam/Herro for draft capital and just blow it up) then I suppose that's the only other option. But yuck. From KD to this.

I rather swap kleber and gabe vincent. Same expiring. Im okay not revisiting having gabe on our roster again.. i know how spoelstra gets and he will play gabe so many minutes like he just got back his favorite childhood toy.

Hachimura, kleber, lottery protected 1st round pick for wiggins and im good..

No need to get picky if we’re getting a 1st, Kleber will be glued to the bench if he comes over. We actually need a backup PG.

We basically lost KD because we did't wanted to let go of Jovic and Jamie. Thats BS. I saw SAS talking about it. How do you not giving up those guys to get a KD?!?

You already know Dru is getting the first crack at it if we don’t add someone legit

It’ll be either Someone/Davion or Davion/Dru

Should we hire Sam Presti to be our GM?

That was genius to flip Paul George for SGA and 5 FRPs.

Probably, wouldn’t shock me at all. He’ll likely be out like the first half of the year though I would guess. Borderline nba player returning from a torn ACL and then torn Achilles, he might be cooked

Also with a full offseason with Ware, Bam is poised to boost his production and make the All-Star team next year.

Although he’s never done it before in his career, I think he can hit 20/10 next year. Perhaps even get on All-NBA third team.

I forgot the criteria but wouldn’t that make Bam eligible for a super max by being on the All-NBA 3rd team?

I checked out long ago. Pat has lost his piss and vinegar. Despite what he says, he is fat and happy, so to speak, on the success of the past. He was temporarily motivated post-Lebron 2014, as he took it personally, but that ember died out long ago.

The Riley back in 2005 would have personally dropkicked Jamie and Jovic and Herro and whoever else to trade for a big superstar.

All this stuff about not "overpaying", yeah okay, and the years go by while Goldilocks waits for the porridge to be juuuusst right.

Actually, that's Riley's nickname now. Goldilocks. No trade for superstar until it's the perfect price. The porridge can't be too hot or too cold. Goldilocks.

Bams not making all nba, he’s going to be deferring to Herro and Wiggins at minimum as we continue to prioritize worse players over our best (not a shot at Herro everyone settle down!!!!) we’re not going to have a playmaker to help get him consistent looks so he’ll likely be towards the bottom of the league in assisted baskets again, his rebounds per game are likely to drop with Ware parked in the paint while Bam roams everywhere and the team is going to be garbage.

Thats without even mentioning the media bias against Miami. If we had KD it may have helped give him some clout and we’d likely be a top 4 seed, then we might be talking about all nba, all star, and DPOY but still unlikely as they had excuses the last time we were the 1st seed.
