Tyrese Haliburton Suffers Torn Right Achilles Tendon

Post#1 » by RealGM Wiretap » Mon Jun 23, 2025 5:12 pm

Tyrese Haliburton has been diagnosed with a torn right Achilles tendon. Haliburton suffered the injury in Game 7 of the NBA Finals which the Indiana Pacers went on to lose to the Oklahoma City Thunder by a final score of 103-91.

Haliburton played through a calf strain in the same leg during Games 5, 6 and 7 of the Finals. Haliburton made three of his first four three-point attempts in Game 7 before suffering the injury.

Haliburton is the third All-Star to have suffered an Achilles tear in these playoffs alone after Damian Lillard and Jayson Tatum.

I think we all suspected as much. Such a tough break for a rising young player and personality. Best wishes on a full recovery.

Probably someone who lives in his mom's basement after losing a parlay because of Haliburton.

That sucks. As much as I hate his taunting and cockiness, he's a great player and doesn't deserve this. Hope he gets better. Meanwhile the east is wide open next year and Knicks don't even have a coach lol.

All NBA players are cocky, but I think the player voted "most overrated" was justified in his cockiness as he took his team to game 7 of the Finals. It made me wish I was an IND fan.

How do you explain Tatum and Lillard?

Bad luck / momentary lapse of judgement. Both of them were non contact injuries, basically just one wrong step / slip. Same with Haliburton. It shows us how fragile we are as humans.

People like to point fingers, but it's really just unlucky situations that cause injuries like this. I feel really bad for them, and injuries definitely affected all of those series.
