Are the Thunder the most universally disliked NBA team of this century?

I've seen teams with arguably more hate like the Heatles and KD Warriors. But those teams also had a lot of bandwagons because of their star power. This OKC team seems to be getting close to the same dislike from hardcore and casual fans like those other teams, but without nearly the same level of bandwagoning. Nobody seems to be a big fan of their playstyle on both ends of the floor and were actively rooting for their demise all season long.

You genuinely have no idea what you're talking about if you think OKC is even comparable to how hated the Heat were, especially their first season together.

I know the magnitude of hatred of those Heat teams reached greater heights. But they still had a lot of bandwagons riding them because of how popular Lebron was. Nobody on the Thunder has that kind of love

Don’t confuse hate for indifference. I think most people just don’t care about OKC one way or the other.

They seem pretty liked to me. Even with the foul stuff, people around me seemed to have more issue with Brunson than SGA.

i think you're attempting to shift the focus off lebron:lol: :lol:

if anything okc is an egalitarian team that should have mass appeal. sga is a thoughtful well spoken star. i think they were thought of as the bad guys vs indy

similarly of okc had faced the celts then the celts would have been the bad guys

I don't hate them. They are a fun bunch, good team. I think most other folks feels the same.

Lot of other fans hates them tho. It's kinda weird but whatever lol
I guess the old Seattle SuperSonics fans, I can understand, but it's been almost 2 decades ago already. That's an old grudge... beyond the OKCs players/fans control.

I like both teams, Thunder and Pacers.
Even tho the Thunder are one of our rivals (kinda). Built similarly to the Spurs. Organically, through the draft and trades.

And nah.... The Heattles (LeBron /Wade/Bosh team up and claiming 10 easy championships) were more hated by most folks, same for GSW when KD latched onto them.

But we live in the age of social media where everybody has an opinion.

This idea that Shai is a free throw merchant is absurd...he averaged 8.8 free throws a game. Lebron in his prime averaged around 8-9 free throws a game, Jordan the same, Kobe the same...all the great guards did the same.

At the end of the day this Thunder team did things the right way...they were a horrible team 2-3 years ago, drafted well, made good trades, and their stars organically got better.

And especially D Wade included. With the Fouls/FTs

Also agreed on how well OKC were organically constructed.

The league WISHES people hated them. Love and hate draw attention. People are indifferent to OKC. No one really cares or is interested in them.
