It was always Maluach or Queen.

I don't see the fit with Queen on this squad tbh. Malauch, I see the fit, but Queen not so much.

I don't love the fit with Queen either. I guess there's also trade down targets.

If he falls past 7, I don't see any scenario where Nets don't take him at 8.

He also made a point to say we like guys who can play both sides of the ball and if they arent going to play on the defensive end, Darko made it pretty clear you aren't going to play.

I guess there's also CMB, but man, his lack of shooting leaves a lot to be desired.

If we go with CMB that means Front office is not building around Barnes anymore....Which could be a smart move if they see he is not that guy....Because CMB and Barnes would be the worst pairing in the draft.....I won't hate the pick just hope his shooting turns around...

How is it that so few workouts for the lotto players have been announced by teams?

Please for the love of God, fill the backup Center spot one way or another. I've been crying about our Center spot since 2021 lol.

I am at 90% that the correct pick for Toronto is Asa Newell. If the shooting is legit he is a really high upside option that fits our culture.

-Hardworking / high motor defender
-Above average athlete for his size
-Shooting potential which seems to be a reasonable outcome - but overall he only shot 30% on jumpers.

“He’s the same guy every day. He could start a game missing his first four [shots] and might make his next four. His facial expression is not going to change. He’s still going to be compliant in terms of making winning plays, passing to the guy that is open, chasing offensive rebounds, closing out correctly.” — Georgia head coach Mike White

Hasn't shown much creation outside of post-ups, but he can drive a bit and pass a bit but he didn't show it as much in college. Seems to be a play finisher type. I do think he is too undersized to play C.

Read on Twitter

Rasheer Fleming is the other player in contention to me because he fit the profile, but I don't like his driving ability. Both these two are play finisher types and not creators but the defensive potential is there with both. Fleming has good size but I don't think he reads the game well.

What if in some crazy scenario Fears falls too? Nets have been rumoured to be enamoured with him.

I think it'll ultimately come down to what we do after the draft as well; big fan of CMB but don't think he's a great fit with us in our current roster BUT a lot can happen between draft and even the start of the season. At the very least I could see a fun lineup off the bench where you have Shead, Ja'kobe, Dick and even Agbaji moving and cutting while CMB plays 5 and moves the ball from the post..I think BBIQ is the hardest skill to truly develop; experience can only do so much but if you're able to think the game different and see things others don't; you create advantages regardless

One interesting scenario for us would be
1.Flagg
2.Harper
3.Edgecombe
4.Maluach (1st shocker of the draft)
5.Kon
6.Bailey
7.Queen ( Pels Rumoured to like Queen)
8.Fears or Tre
9.Fears or Tre

^ That would be my dream scenario if some how one of Tre/Fears fell to us.

Where Maluach ends up is one of the biggest questions before the NBA Draft, given the vast interest existing from teams with top-10 picks. The Pelicans are said to be “huge fans” of Maluach's two-way potential, as one source stated, which makes sense given his length and athleticism that can coincide with Missi.

There has also been smoke about Queen being the Pelicans' ultimate target, which is why he is in play with this seventh pick. What the Pelicans ultimately decide to do will greatly impact decisions made by the Nets and Toronto Raptors.

Sounds like guys like Kon, Fears and maybe even KM didn't work out for the Raptors based on what Tolzman said. We know for sure though that Jak and Queen did.

I think that would be best case scenario for the Raptors from a team fit perspective....With Johnson in & RJ out (All rumors suggest hes getting traded)....Hopefully traded for a big.....That would help the team alot...

Fears would be basically our starting PG for the next decade....

Either guy would be great....We would need to make a trade for a big though if that does end up happening....Jazz at 5 would have to love Kon more than Tre....Which is possible.
