yes so it becomes 17 + 31 for 26 + Knecht, although on second thought i think 26+27 doesn't get to 17. so minny is owed more

That's a crazy evaluation of Knecht. He was picked 17th in last years draft and is a turnstile defensively with limited offensive upside. I think 26 or 27 is plenty for Knecht.

The real question is why would a team who is picking #17 and #31 trade #17 for 2 later 1sts?

minny fan asked what player under 4.3M they can get for 17, rest of us were debating if knecht was worth 17 (majority said no), so babyjax tried to split up 17 to retain some value for minny.

so Jared Dudley is now leaving the Mavs staff, Shammgod leaving player development(a close Kyrie guy btw), Vogel wants no part of moving from consultant to the bench despite a lead position being his for the taking. News out of New York says Kidd is still choice 1 for the Knicks.

Let him go Dallas. Fire Niko, Vegas. I mean you've fired your 2nd training staff in a couple of years, Dirk has largely washed his hands of you, your assistants are jumping ship.

What a dumpster fire for a guy you believe to be your new franchise player to be walking into. What are we doing here?

I miss Cubes, Donnie, and Rick. Man did I take that stability somewhat for granted. Never again.

feels a little bit like Nurse's' last year with Toronto. Masai held onto OG/Siakam too long. Hope Mavs dont do the same w/ Kidd/AD

Is it possible Knicks can get Divencenzo back?

I guess if Twolves move Gobert they would be interested in Mitchell Robinson.

Would Boston make some kind of stretch trade with Porzingis or Simons to shed more money this year without giving up value?

Something like the large Boston expiring to Brooklyn with value from PHX, and O'Neale or Allen from PHX to BOS.

The Nets Wizards made a similar deal with Howard/Mozgov years ago. Marks has also had a tendency to take small salary dumps he receives and then flip them for larger ones.

Yea truly a sad state. I don't know who to blame more, the owners or Nico. But one can easily be removed, so maybe the fact he isnt gives me my answer

Depending on what is moving around, possible. Who is that going to though? Boston? Maybe something gets kicked that way if it's Allen. Probably nothing for O'Neale since his contract total is comparable to Porzingis, just over 3 years instead of one. The value for the Celtics is massive savings and apron ducking this year.

Too little for Zion? No need for DET at all? Would NOP just take Randle and Rob for themselves?

Celtics now $19.3M over the 2nd apron this year, and $29.9M below the tax altogether$51.8M below the 2nd apron next year. Very imbalanced.

Ignoring draft compensation, but a deal like Simons or Porzingis to MIL for Kuzma makes a lot of sense for BOS. Sheds more salary this year, to help them duck the 2nd apron. BUT, since they're taking on money overall via the 2nd year (that falls into a season they aren't as payroll strapped) they'd be entitled to draft compensation. Then next year you can use the filler salary of Kuzma with those picks and/or your own for an additive trade with Tatum back.

I'd like to see BOS deals like that with Porzingis and Simons now to shed salary and get picks. Then top it off the with much discussed Hauser dump. In the end, they'd have turned Jrue/Hauser/Porzingis into the needed salary savings and a little bit of an asset build up coming back to retool next year.

Dallas can do better hopefully. A lot better.

Phoenix can’t a future first with any real variance.

Listen, not expecting this to happen, but does anyone think there’s a chance Nico wants to be the smartest person in the room again, and calls a wild audible, and takes Harper or even Bailey #1 overall?
