If he thinks he's a ready-made NBA star, then he is going to flame out faster than people realize.
Edit: I won't be shocked if we get to draft night and Ace is the pick. None of his metrics are Morey-like, but I still don't feel comfortable ruling it out. The way Kyle and Derek, two anti-Ace guys, looked on PHLY today (sad) makes me wonder if they're hearing he's the pick...

I was surprised to see Wade was about 6’2 without shoes with an 6’11 wingspan which helped a lot lol. They were 210 lbs at the combine as well.

There are posts all over the internet and here saying that Ace does not want to be in Philly. But from what I have read he wanted a promise that he would be the 76ers pick. Morey, because he is not a liar, could not give him that promise, so Ace decided not to workout for the 76ers or anyone else. Now maybe he got a promise from Washington or Brooklyn. But that is a lot of money to leave on the table as you slide down the draft and he has to get past Utah before Washington or Brooklyn pick. Maybe his agent was trying to play hardball and Morey said Ok don't come in we have enough video of you anyway.
Posters say this is an important draft for this franchise but if the talent is mid after the 1st maybe even 2nd pick what are you going to do. As far as I am concerned Wednesday can't get here soon enough, and I believe Morey will make the correct decision.

He's so right about MPj and Jabari.
But, seriously Jabari (who just turned 22 last month) and can guard 3-5, block shots and switch out to guards is a consistent jumpshot away from stardom. I think his biggest detriment has been the fact that he occupies the same space as Sengun and he's not been able to get into that rhythm with his mid range game as much.
Ace will get his opportunities with George and others taking days off for sure to shine in Philly. Plus off ball stardom is the best kind IMO

Run. Run far far away. I don't want anything to do with Ace at this point. I can't tell what the goal of this article was supposed to be, hit, puff or just reporting; but it terrifies me.

Ace doesn’t want to play off ball. VJ can’t shoot, or was shook, or both. If you’re aren’t taking Tre, trade down. Even if you want Tre, trade down.

I think a trade-up for Harper is unlikely, and I bet Morey is just daring San Antonio to take him, given their current roster construction.
Just 2 more days.

Is this a real story?
