Run. Run far far away. I don't want anything to do with Ace at this point. I can't tell what the goal of this article was supposed to be, hit, puff or just reporting; but it terrifies me.
I can't quite put my finger on why, but reminds me a little of Fultz and his relationship with Tappin and Williams.

Also the immaturity and youth-like persona. As everyone surely knows, I was very pro-Ace so it's pretty big for me to move this far off him. I'd rather have Kon before Ace and I really dislike Kon as a prospect. Sounds like Cooper had this kid spend all his time working on the physical and not the mental.

His agent had weapons charges for a machine gun and uzi clip, for fraud, selling cocaine in a school zone. Sounds like he's run numerous fraudulent businesses and ponzi schemes. Like how in the world is this guy being accepted in the sports world and allowed around these kids?

I saw this article earlier today but just shrugged it off since it's so expected. Can't wait to take him on Wednesday!

Ultimately, the people who you associate with and are around is what people will think of you as. Even if you take away the many glaring red flags on the court, whom he has around in his circle just makes it worse.

It's a long and detailed article; this definitely took some time to prepare. Probably was preplanned to drop week of the draft knowing that's when it'd get maximum views as everyone is seeking new drops on the prospects.

Ace kinda blew that out of the water tho when he canceled the interview and workout. Hard to be "deceptive" when you had it down to Ace or VJ.

Reading that, I honestly feel bad for the kid. It seems like he’s been subjected to bad advice and manipulation by many of the adults in his life.

10,000 ‘journalists’ talking about the draft and only one person does the hard work to find out about Ace’s ex con agent? Hoping it’s not true for Ace’s sake, but it does explain a lot of true.

Like Mage said, ‘Run away…’

I actually find him and his family endearing in the article particularly because I have friends from the area. I, as I always have said, hope nothing but the best for Ace; I think he's been given bad advice for a while and it's likely resulted in stunted growth in his game. Now if an organization can cut the **** cake and just develop him without distraction, then I can see him having a chance.

That said, this ain't the place for that since we can even feed our prospects without nearly killing them (Zhaire), much less separating them from their poisonous family/entourage (Fultz, Simmons).

Completely agree. It's a shame b/c kid is talented, but no one has done him any favors making sure he's mentally ready for the NBA.

Article was no big deal. Ace comes across as a fun loving kid which is to be expected since he’s only 18, and not much older like VJ or Kon. No character issues that I can see.

No idea what you nancies are clutching pearls about. Thankfully, Daryl won’t be swayed by biased negative propaganda hit pieces, unlike the weak minded.

Ace is still the pick.

I agree that Ace seems like a good kid and that article does make me like him as a person. His family also sounds loving and sweet.

The Cooper stuff and some of the other anecdotes about his coaches are depressing tho. Lots of people using him as a tool for their self-interest rather than doing what’s best for him as a player & person.

and then we take him and his team decides to play hard ball and sit out until traded.

Its easy to say we will just take him because he has to play when we legit just went through two guys not playing until their trade request were made.

Darryl is on the hot seat and getting burned again playing the tough guy when his rep is already **** probably doesn't happen

Teams draft guys against their will all the time. The players never sit out so don’t make false comparisons because you’re blackpilling again.

If we pick Ace, he’ll show up and play hard. Try to be a supportive fan please.
