based on rumors we are shopping RJ and/or 9

What team would want that package?

Sac? thats overpay for Monk Or Murry and something else
Boston? for Porzingis or White
Bulls? Lonzo, Ayo and Jalen Smith?
Clips? Zubac but why for them
Phx? Brooks + something
Portland? they got some pieces I like but I don't know if they would want this package. I like Deni alot with rob maybe or if we can finesse get deni and camara or clingan but doubt that happens

I don't really see any amazing trades

What's up with the Monk rumors. He's had two seasons with decent efficiency in his career and has been less efficient with increased playing time the past couple years. He's not a plus defender. Are we gonna give up assets to get him or is SAC gonna be the one coughing up assets for an RJ swap? To which we invest in Ja'Kobe as a future SG starter and bring Monk off the bench

Monk is underrated to me. He averages 5 assists, can start or come off the bench, scores 15-20 points with some athletic plays every game. Plus he is on a team friendly deal under $20m for 3 years. At one point last year he was above 22 PPG and 7 Asts right after Mike Brown got axed.

The real get is if we can acquire Devin Carter who is built for the Raptors. He would be our PG of the future with his two way play. He hasn't played a lot yet so he is undervalued, but he was a strong defender and athletic playmaker in college.

Not sure I would give up 9 and RJ for it, but it might be an option Sac is demanding.

Monk is a very underrated passer and great shot creator from the outside. Masai could look to do 2 for 3 deal. Monk, JV and Carter for RJ and Ochai. Maybe we can get a pick from the Kings as well

The other interesting deal could be OKC. Their roster can’t hold any more players. We could probably send 9 first 16 and 24 plus a future first.

OKC definitely wanting quality over quantity at this point.

Might be a draft night deal to see if Malauch still there at 9

This draft has a lot of bigs, not sure if Maluach should be the guy they hold out for..maybe another prospect. Naw.

You draft 1 but only pencil them in as the 3rd guy on the depth chart and you go get a reliable backup C. Then let the rookie prove he is ready for a backup role over time.

Example...say RJ for Monk and JV. Gives you a cheaper SG who can still pit up points and fills the role of backup C.

Then you draft a C and let them start as 3rd C and let them overtake JV when ready. Hopefully it's within a year and then you flip JV, move up the C, then Chomche is your #3 C in 2026/27.

That's how I would approach the C spot.

And because Monk is cheaper and new, you could "sell" him on being a bench microwave scorer if you choose to do that.

We should be drafting a C...then a PF or PG....depends who is available.
