So what happens if Barnes & BI looks like a dynamic duo to build with. Where does CMB slot in? We move BI to the 2?
I don't see how that matters. I don't foresee CMB or any player drafted this year being an option for the starting line-up.
We need frontcourt depth, so if CMB can put up solid minutes playing between the 4/5 position behind SB and JP, we'll be a better team.
You're right

idk man, he simply pops on tape just like mobley did. can't teach that sort of fluidity at his size. his measureables only enhance his case.
might not be ready for a while but you take the potential and let the developmental staff do its thing. adding a later pick would ease things too. this seems like the smartest thing to do instead of sticking at 9.
I like him reminds me of Jarrett Allen.

Looks like what they hope Chomche will be and looks way more athletic.

Interesting. I'd be happy with either of those in a trade down scenario.

I project him to be the best defensive big in this draft. Masai has been trying for years to acquire Nic Claxton and that's the kind of big I think he can be except with a bit more weight.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Discussion Part 9
Joan Beringer | 7'0 Centre | 18 years old | 7'5" Wingspan
Bulls president of basketball operations Artūras Karnišovas was in Denver when the team drafted Nikola Jokić, and one of his first moves as the lead decision-maker in Chicago was to trade a significant package of assets for Nikola Vučević. He is near the end of his career and only has one year left on his contract.
Beringer would be a sharp long-term replacement for Vučević because he’d bring something different. Bulls sources say they want to build off the high-energy style of play under Billy Donovan. Beringer can run up and down the court as arguably the most mobile big man in the draft. He’d have no issues playing at the kind of speed that the Bulls want and would thrive in such an offense. And defensively, he has an immense amount of upside. He’s still a project, to be clear. He’s new to basketball — having just started playing within the last four years — but it’s very hard to find players like this with size and length in addition to fluid athletic movement and explosive leaping ability. NBA teams are high on him, and his range seems to be the back half of the lottery. He is not expected to go much beyond the lottery if he slips outside of it.
Egor Demin is another name that I’ve heard for the Bulls. Demin does not make much sense next to Josh Giddey, whom the Bulls are expected to re-sign in restricted free agency on a large deal this summer. Joan Beringer, Maluach, Danny Wolf, and Cedric Coward are other names I’ve heard from sources regarding the Bulls, which should demonstrate how wide open this pick is viewed by sources across the league. The Bulls have also brought in a few prospects expected to go later in the first round and are a potential trade-down candidate, which makes sense if they like several different players in the class.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Discussion Part 9
For me i would be happy coming away with one of the bigs
Maluach/Queen/Newell
And trading Barrett in a deal that lands us something + Jase Richardson...
That would be my ideal draft day....Would land us a Backup Big + a PG for the future which are the 2 positions i think we need to fill the most.

This kid shows me more skill, speed, and fluidity in these 2 minutes clips than I've seen in 25+ minutes of watching KM.
I'm 100% on board taking this kid whether we drop back or whether we take him at #9. He has Giannis level freak to his movements

People keep saying the fit is terrible with CMB, but it's better than with any other lottery big. Sorber, Queen aren't outside threats, and Khaman is only theoretical based on ft%. None of those guys can play with Poeltl, while CMB can play the 4 next to Poeltl or play the 5/4 next to Scottie's 4/5. No big exists next to Scottie and Poeltl, and our starting lineup is set barring a trade.
He provides rebounding and rim protection with his bbiq, quickness, and strength so he's versatile and not a tweener.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Discussion Part 9
The good news is this is one.of the deepest drafts I have seen for bigs........and we need bigs. I would be completely fine taking 2 of them.
Maluach, Sorber, Queen, Kalk, Wolf, Beringer, plus a few lengthy guys like Essengue.
Its a good draft for us.

Re: 2025 NBA Draft Discussion Part 9
Beringer will be there in the early 20s....He is only a trade back option....Think Masai has other bigs ahead of him on the big board anyways.
