What the hell is that? Why would the Blazers be bailing the Celtics out of that contact and be the ones giving up draft capital???

Simons wasn't a good fit with the guys Portland is building around but damn, what a bummer to see Boston get out of the Jrue deal with a potential upgrade and get paid to do it.

Dame/Kuzma/Pat for Grant/Jrue/Rob/Pick swap rights returned
They get their guy back, we get ours back, we take on Grants money and get extra draft capital to play with

Between this and the Luka to LAL trade, I’ve never been more convinced the NBA was rigged.

This is nonsensical

I don't EVER want to read JROY call a trade proposal bad or unrealistic again

It should’ve taken Boston 2-3 firsts to get off that contract for a useful expiring. They ended up getting 2 seconds?

**** nuts.

JROY is the rake for Portland sports. And, perhaps, the city at large.

They’ll probably let simons walk or maybe take him back on a lighter deal if he plays well bc that’s all they can really afford. Annoying how easy they got off that Jrue deal without giving up any sweeteners.

Portland is going to be scary on defense next year. If Portland was smart they'll try to get Ayton for Reaves and filler.

Simons is a chucker, but an expiring for that Jrue contract is a no brainer. Wow.

And hell no to Jrue back here on that contract.

Yeah, that contract is ugly. I’d rather take a chance on Dame rehabbing well for the playoffs and/or expiring after next year, rather than taking the hope that Jrue turns back the hands of time for 3 straight years

So, give me some time, I’ll dust myself off and get right back to being the best version of Tyrese Haliburton.

This is why guys like the clown Portland fan who always appears on here to tell us our trade proposals are trash, are so tiresome. The NBA is weird, and stuff happens that baffles us all.
