ya Celtics became alot less scarier....Celtics and Bucks are/were scary when they have elite defense paired with elite 3pt shooting, once the defense slips away they just live or die by the 3 come playoff time. And we know how role players can choke their 3s when the pressure is on.

I think RJ’s value is worse than even what we imagined it to be.

The rehabilitation of his asset value under us has not changed at all lol.

It seems with Tatum missing most/all of the upcoming season that Stevens might feel like this is a good time to do a bit of a retool, get off some money while also trying to get younger.

In a second but it depends on his medicals. But I can’t see the Celtics trading him for so little savings in the current year and take on his p.o. For Porzingas’ expiring. They would want draft capital added.

Solid trade all around.

Boston saves big money.
Portland gets an adult in the room who plays defense at an elite level. This move, while expensive, will take Portland to the next level for a couple years. Third year might start looking bad, but then it just becomes an expiring big contract.

Seems like the first phase of the Celtics starting their decline. They built it up patiently and slowly and expect it'll decline the same way.
