He isn't going to all of the sudden become like a Jalen Brunson type.

Finding a good 3rd option is getting hard and expensive. We probably already got that in Ivey but we need a number 2.

Don't get my comment wrong, I think its fine to pay him $39, $42, $45 million per year. I just don't think at that price, he should be worth 4 future firsts including #16 in this draft and an unprotected 2026 pick from Phoenix as well.

Price feels too high for a 3rd best player on a fringe playoff team making max money like Bane. Tyler Herro makes less money, has actually been an all-star, and I'd also be surprised to see him fetch 4 unprotected firsts and a pick swap even though he makes less per year than Bane.

Part of the reason that the Bridges trade seemed ok for NY at the time was because he was on a bit of a bargain deal for his output not on a max contract extension.

It’s just the math though when it comes to late picks. There’s 300 solid 1-10 rotation players on 30 teams, if you figure 35? Picks make it every year, that’s about 10% in new, and 10% out every year, even at 450 players and 8% in and out rate, there’s not 37 2nd rounders making it over a five year basis so those 37 guys come from somewhere and the highest % would be draft spots 20-35. Not lottery picks for the most part.

In my opinion, we underestimate our boys a lot. Ivey can play better than Bane, and he's younger, that's if he's coming off a major injury. Honestly, if there aren't any suitable offers on the market, I wouldn't go crazy. Keeping the kids growing is very, very important.

Orlando made a mistake. Not only because of the price (which is crazy for a player who's very good but not among the best), but because they don't even know yet if their two best players, Wagner and Paolo, will be able to play together at a good level.

There aren't many teams that can offer money this year, I'd swear it's just us and the Nets.I really think Beasley and Dennis will return, and I think THJ will go to another team.

My man. Bane is a baller
Lol...fact....and Orlando has FULL trust & belief in Paolo/Franz as their duo to lead them. That why they make a trade like this.

Zero questions or doubt.

36 year old KD still getting a decent haul. Wow.

I think Booker is on the move next. He and Green don’t fit.

I can see us giving up Ivey, Holland, Tobias and a pick for him.

If the Pistons give up that much for Booker, then Langdon, absolutely has to nab one of Aldama/Naz. Absolute must, unless anyone thinks Stewart is a starting PF.

I am not against this trade, but it has to be followed up.

That's such a crap deal for Phoenix can't believe that is all they could get. #10 in this draft is far from anything that helps right now and Jalen Green at that contract isn't a valuable player either.

Happy for Amen to get to play in a front court with two all-stars.... going to be great for him.

If the Rockets called up and wanted to trade Green for Tobias Harris I wouldn't do it. Kind of crazy they got KD for him as the main piece. Suns have no idea what they are doing.

With the suns basically giving up KD for nothing (getting negative assets back), it's not a matter of if Booker will ask out, it's a matter of WHEN.

Would absolutely love to pair Booker with Cade...picture perfect match, both are capable of scoring on and off the ball and taking on ball handler/playmaking duties.

Father Time always wins. At 36 yrs old you really don't know what you are getting, but you should expect some type of decline from last season. Injuries become more of a theme and the body takes longer to recover. This was obviously the best deal available; nobody was going to give up the farm for him.

Yeah, this is about what Durant was worth. Suns bought high and sold low on him and some of that is due to what happened with him in the intervening years.

The Rockets win this trade, but more because Phoenix seems to have no clue. They have an even more unbalanced roster . This is like what Isiah Thomas did to the Knicks at the end

Beal, Booker, Green, Allen and Martin is your overloaded wings, that are primarily 2s, depth

Up front ?????

Legitimately wishing we had Suns firsts in 26, 27, or 28

Edit: just saw there’s a possibility they could buy out Beal. $110 million so he can take a small deal from the Lakers

I honestly feel bad for Suns fans right now, but want the mess to play out to see where booker gets traded

Man what timing of Pacers getting their pick back. They are still a play in team at the very least but holy moly.

Every player who tore their Achilles these playoffs wore #0.

Siakam played in the games where:

Kevin Durant tore his Achilles
Damian Lillard tore his Achilles
Klay Thompson tore his ACL
Haliburton tore his Achilles

Surprised that Boston got Simons + two 2nds for Jrue given Jrue's age and contract. Also kind of crazy since Portland as a franchise is up for sale not sure why they'd add that long term older player contract.

Simons is going to be going into his 8th season likely just entering him prime could easily be a fairly efficient 20 PPG scorer for the Celtics this year... he's a pretty solid 3rd option for them and someone I'm sure they are hoping they can get a bit more out of defensively than what we've seen from Simons up to this point.

i could actually still see Boston moving on from KP since this trade from Jrue to Simons only saved Boston $4.8 million this season.

Yeah good lux tax savings for Boston. Contracts tough to swallow but if Portland thinks they are ready Jrue is a vet they need around. Grant + Jrue though is a tough one going forward.
