I'd bet they keep him. Simons was the odd man out in Portland. Lead guard was the biggest position of deficiency. Holiday helps with that in the short term and, they hope, mentors Scoot and Sharpe for the longer term. They're going to try to compete next season.

Very nice of the Blazers to become competitive just for me :) Something irks me about Boston getting our (Knicks) second round pick in 2030 though.

I think 100% of the population on the Earth watching basketball has KD in top 20 all time list. I personally wouldn't but if everyone says it i have to agree, right?

p.s. top 9 is clear, then its Steph/Wilt, Hakeem, Jokic, Doctor J, Jerry West, Giannis, Moses, Dirk, Oscar. And then its KD.

How is he not the worst by far in here?

that doesn't save the celtics much money next year. porzingis must be next if there's a taker with his health problems.

They're trying to cut cost. Simmons isn't on this roster pass next season.

Even if they don’t keep him it was a high way robbery deal for the Celtics.

I wouldn't call it highway robbery. Definitely one team got over the other, though. But I also think Portland is ran by a bunch of clowns.

Random thought but I do recall Brunson dropping 40-8-7, 35-11-7, and 31-13-6 on everyone’s favorite defender Alex Caruso last season. Jalen would have utterly torched him

Yeah. It's not an apron saving move. It's a tax saving move.

He wouldn't just be dealing with Caruso unfortunately. Caruso doesn't even start for them. There is a huge difference between the Bulls' defense and OKC's. Brunson would have to deal with the waves of individual defenders that OKC would send at him along with their swarming team defense.

That doesn’t fall on deaf ears. Of course OKC has an army of defenders to provide varying degrees of difficulty for Jalen. I’m simply stating the fact that Brunson has, and will continue to torch Caruso. Don’t get me wrong, Alex is a great defender who gets away with absolute murder on that end while looking like Josh Hart on offense half the time. He’s a good rotation player/impact/intangibles guy but sometimes the flavor of the week on this board kills me.

Does Iverson crossing up MJ make MJ a bad defender? I’ve never heard this about Caruso, it goes against everything I’ve seen and what all the advanced stats show as well. Be better!!!

Brunson has torched Caruso multiple games  not just a single play like you’re pointing out.
