Hauser for WCJ

Post#1 » by djFan71 » Tue Jun 24, 2025 6:03 am

Pre-req - BOS pays to dump KP to BKN and takes no money back so they'll be under the 2nd apron. WCJ makes a tiny bit more so it won't work before that. Assuming that happens. Does it work straight up Hauser for WCJ?

ORL gets more shooting, saves long term $ on WCJ's extension, rolls with Mo, Goga and Isaac. Maybe drafts a C at 25.
BOS gets a replacment big. Simons expires (or resigns for less) next summer when WCJ's extension kicks in.

I dont see Orlando doing this, not without another center deal lined up. Maybe goga?

A Hauser for Goga deal makes more sense. Saves Boston a bit more money and Goga's more expendable from Orlando.

hauser is fine player but magic do not have room for him and not taking on a 4 yr contract ..hoping da silva or houstan or jett make jump may need to just get out of jett just to get off of his money... not moving starting center or goga unless you have iron man at center you need 3...not many of those players..with bane on board and ext kicking in money tight even 3-5 mill extra is now big deal
magic need a ball handling guard more then they need this..do not have luxury to add this kind of player anymore

Not sure how to view WCJ on that deal. I like it a lot for this year of course, but with his troubling history of availability (or lack thereof) I don't really like him when the extension kicks in. BOS does need a long term big though and now has the payroll ability long term to handle it. I also don't think he's really that good though.

Had a minor scare thinking this was for Willie Cauley-Stein.

Goga for Hauser feels more reasonable? Although I wouldn't *really* be enthusiastic to do either one.

Magic fans don't like Carter very much, but the coaches and front office definitely do.

I’d do Goga…WCJ holds more value than Hauser, imo

Boston’s better off using Hauser to move up in the draft.
