IS THIS REAL LIFE?!

It does seem quiet, but remember there was footage of Asa Newell in one of the videos where we were showing Davion’s workout.

Maybe we just have kept everything well under wraps this time?

It was not Asa Newell. It was a 6’5 dupe version of him lol

Lots of noise is starting to build with WCJ coming here from the scouting community. They must be hearing something. I remember Andy Katz pegging Jaime Jaquez to us days before the draft

How do you feel about him vs Maxime Raynaud?

Could it just be that we are in a position where our management knows that we need a stabilising, offense creating PG and that there are 3 candidates in our range of Jase, Saraf and WCJ and it just happens that they are either unavailable for interview and workout or carried their teams so far in their leagues that those normal red flags are not likely (Saraf about to secure BBL title, WCJ won NCAA title, and Jase made Elite 8)? Also they did try out Jase to close that gap. WCJ is fairly local too for Florida, so they could have snuck him in.

Im liking both guys at the moment.

Kalk looks like the better defender. Id always prefer my big to be a plus defender.

Confirmed Walter Clayton Jr has worked out twice with us and canceled the rest of his workouts. Forward to pick 20 for Adam Finklestein’s breakdown. Sounds like we gave him a promise

Oh man secret workouts after all?!

One thing about Clayton, he has that igniteable shooting ability we've been missing since Strus and Gabe left. That "**** you Celtics, im dropping 7 3s" type game that was always inside them. Except I feel like he can do it more often.

Props to Adam Finklestein with the great inside information. Eventually this stuff gets leaked out. Klutch might want him here. Sounds like promise is in place with Klutch if he canceled the rest or his workouts after us.

More like Shabazz Napier 2.0.

A small, old prospect, that took advantage i the tournament but has zero juice to his game and won't translate well against NBA defenses.

Patty Mills type upside.

Very wrong choice for a team desperate for upside, creativity and creation.

Hopefully we won't make the same mistake twice.

Your opinions about his game are your own but WCJ was 6'2" without shoes and just under 200 lbs at the combine. That makes him 3 inches taller and nearly 25 lbs heavier than Napier was at the combine. Clayton Jr. is an inch shorter than Murray w/o shoes and around 8-10 lbs lighter(Murray's combine measurements)

Murray also has about 3 extra inches in wingspan and more importantly, he's a completely different tier as an athlete.

He was better as a freshman then Clayton Jr was a senior.

Clayton plays like he runs in mud.

Well yeah one is a lottery pick and the other is projected to be drafted in the 20's. There are major things in Murray's favor. But Clayton isn't Napier. His profile is closer to an older Jared McCain physically but more athletic. I think Clayton showed more on ball creation. That might just be due to role

If the draft prospect and their agency/people don't put out the workout info, it's always possible that workouts go unreported or delayed in being reported, because you know Miami isn't overly eager to show their cards. I still believe Miami works out more prospects than go reported every cycle.

Patty Mills is a better prospect comparison than Shabazz IMO. Shabazz has the narrative parallel with the optics of being a Senior leading a championship team.

I think WCJ has a little more athletic juice than both. But, I agree that WCJ is more of a floor pick than a ceiling one. Somewhere between Patty Mills and FVV is where his NBA playing style should reside I'd hope. Not bad company in terms of contributing to winning teams.

I think Clayton is going to be a good NBA player. He is a little bigger Payton Pritchard. If Clayton can defend lean more towards Chancey Billups
