If we trade back to 6 with Tre Johnson still available AND we pickup #18, Morey deserves some serious credit. At #18, Sorber, Queen, Beringer, Fleming could be fits - I think we need to add some size with that pick.

It's going to be the more boring pick / night (we stay at 3 and draft VJ) and y'all are going to lose your minds.

What if Utah takes Tre and it's Kon?

I'd take Derik Queen over Kon. He's a better fit for us. Then at 18, we take a wing or guard.

Day before draft feeling: if we don't trade the pick, I think the pick will be.... Tre.

Holding picks No. 6 and 18 in the first round, the Wizards have explored trade-up scenarios in hopes of securing one of the top backcourt prospects, league sources told RG. Washington has made multiple offers to teams in the top five in an effort to land either Dylan Harper or Jeremiah Fears, even being willing to part with surprising names to move up to No. 2 overall. Thus far, those attempts have been rebuffed.

So, how do you guys not see Jah, when you watch Queen? Really scares me to take him, especially that high.

Morey has drafted Clint Capela, Adem Bona, threw money at Dwight Howard. I think he has shown us the type of center he likes. Queen doesn’t fit that description.

Patrick Patterson
Marcus Morris
Royce White
Terrence Jones

All face up 4s with varying degrees of ballhandling and distribution. Queen is a PF.

Gm George hasn't talked about Tre yet so I'm still riding with my defenseless king.

As a 4 that changes things. Haven’t watched him enough to have an opinion on his game. I just know he didn’t fit Morey’s center prototype so I paid him no mind.

I think they're completely different players.

DQ is more of a face-up 4/5, who excels at driving and attacking the rim. He can actually contribute in transition. Shoots 77% on his FT's. He's more like Paolo Banchero with a less developed 3 point shot. That said, I see him being able to develop at least a corner three given his touch on FT's and mid range shots.

Okafor was a pure old school back down post up player who shot 50% on his FT's. He was too big and slow for today's game.

I think Queen is more of a 4, but could play 5 in a more small ball lineup.

Not much discussion on Tre and he might be secretly the most Morey type prospect of the bunch. Wouldn't be surprising if there was a secret workout involved. Wouldn't be totally upset over the pick, but I think it's a bit of a reach.

I don’t think we’ll trade the pick until Spurs hand the card in that says Dylan Harper. We could have offers ready once we are on the clock. I’m expecting a good bit of lies from Morey today. Need teams to know we could take Ace.

I will say Utah already has Washington, New Orleans, and Brooklyn in fear that they could take Fears or Ace. If we can get Charlotte to move up 1 for VJ. We could have a bidding war for the 4th pick.

What makes DQ an even better for for us is his rebounding. He'd actually pair well with Embiid.

My dream scenario is that Charlotte loves VJ so much that they trade up to 2 and we get Harper for free. My actual bet would be that no trades happen and we end up with VJ.
