Was there any explanation for the illness Porzingis seemed to be dealing with during the playoffs

I've only heard guessed rumblings of a post viral illness like ME/CFS or Long Covid.

I actually see this, but just don't know what pieces we can trade to make it work. Celtics probably want a big like Poetl back.
They want cap savings more than anything.
The other piece that would work really well to accomplish the goal is sending Vucevic (who Chicago wants to move for any value it can get) to the Celtics, which provides them with significant savings.
Chicago had interest in RJ apparently, but don't want to take on more salary this year. Feels like it would need to be paired with the trade of Lonzo to a 4th team to get that done.

This is going to be hard for Masai to find a suitor for him.
RJ is gonna be a Raptor for life
He really should be as he is scratching the surface however if Brooklyn proposes the 8th pick + Cam for RJ then you would have to reconsider.

Can OP change thread title and remove Poeltl from it since they're not actually shopping Jak.

Maybe he meant Cam Thomas?

8 and Cam Johnson for 9 and RJ.... They need a guard and we need a forward.

Not really all that surprising.
Who could ever have guessed that to be the outcome, when you fill the roster with players other teams didn't want.

Props TZ!

Knicks would still take Quickley (but too pricey)
Many teams would want Poeltl
Many teams would want Ochai
So really we're talking RJ and Ingram. Not sure that satisfies "fill the roster"

youre barking up the wrong tree with that, I spent too much time fighting the FVV and Pascal narratives on here; I typically overvalue our talent vs the other way tbh. That being said, the nets aint offering that!

Then some random twitter account says we are shopping RJ and the rumours are back on.
Are we trading him for the sake of trading him at this point? The rumours besides Giannis have been pretty meh. Rather have RJ on the team than to move him.
My guess is that the Raptors view Ochai as a better fit in the starting lineup since he can shoot the 3 and guard the perimeter much better playing alongside Ingram/Barnes.
In a perfect world, RJ would make making 10M less to become an elite 6th man. Hes gotta take his 3 and D to another level this offseason to justify starting.
That’s because Ochai is the better fit for this current construction of the starting line up. Ideally you want RJ to come off the bench as a 6th man who can cook with the second unit.

He may not be, but he is decent off the ball. He is not a black hole & typically doesn't over-dribble the ball. A lot of his touches in a half court setting are on the move, many times going downhill coming off screen. Also, C&S 3's. Other than that, it's transition.
This is when RJ is at his best. He's not an on-ball iso guy. I think that's the point really. RJ was #1 on the team in miles travelled per game on offense. He's not standing around waiting for an iso touch.

* Props to the man, the myth, the legend......TZ.

I think he’s ok off-ball. I wouldn’t exactly consider him an ideal off ball player. He’s not running around through screens nor is he cutting much in the traditional sense. 36% on C&S 3’s is ok. His catch and drive game is good. Don’t know if that counts as off-ball play. His off-screen frequency is incredibly low (3.3%) but I’m not sure how they track it (c&s vs drives off screens). Miles per game on offense isn’t exactly the best measurement considering he played the 2nd most minutes on the team so you’d expect it to be higher. He’s not necessarily gumming things up off-ball. It would interesting to see what his splits are like concerning drives and how much is self created vs opportunistic.

I almost spit out my drink

I understand some people really talk down on RJ for no reason but BKN wouldn’t give up their top 10 lol quite frankly I think would be a swap at best.
Sure Cam struggles with injuries but he just is a better player so that’s the trade off. I’m sure you’ll want to respond to talk about RJ’s age/potential but the reality is that he’s not gonna become a 40% 3pt shooter and that’s what our team would be looking for to better balance out the starting 5 with Scottie and Yak. Having 3 non shooters in a starting line up makes it incredibly difficult to win and one of our shooters is short (IQ). Having a knock down shooter would do wonders for the offence. Instead of 4 out of the 5 guys wanting to get into the midrange or closer.
