Atlanta doenst need KP when they have Okongwu.

That 12/11 per 36 on below average scoring efficiency and a -12.9 plus minus really locks that NO center spot down.

He won’t. But the Simons acquisition doesn’t make sense unless you’re flipping him with someone to get under the 2nd apron. Maybe you do flip him KP and Hauser for Bam which might be able to get you under. Maybe you flip him and Hauser with a pick to move up in the draft then use the pick to make a move for a veteran or a young point guard. Lots of ways for this to go.

Idk where do they send Simons? I don't think he's a very valuable guy on his contract and kind of fits what the Celtics need right now.

Guy has been pretty available for a long time iinm.

Brooklyn has space and could use him. Read Miami was interested at the deadline so there’s spots.

Sure but Miami is going to want to ship trash back and that leaves BRK who is everyone's back up dance partner.

The guy just hasn't been valued.

In fairness Portland doesn’t need Jrue Holiday

Definitely. By far the biggest weight on our summer was the years remaining on Jrue's contract. Most of the money stress on Brad is now relieved, frankly.

I'm pretty stoked. Bummed to lose Jrue but we knew it was happening, and Brad did very well imo. Celts get younger, save $40M in tax next year, and Simons can actually play. Probably not the most handsomest fella I've seen lol, but his scoring will be a nice help while JT is out, and I think there's a lot to work with there.
Gonna miss KP but he's no Georges Niang.

Feels like a set of moves that sends out KP/Hauser for someone out of the Brandon Clarke/Olynyk/Kyle Anderson/etc and pick(s).

Even trading those guys above sends out 40M+ with ~20M left to go, means that they need to get some guys that can really play and total around (less than) 10-15M salary.

Watched ESPN today…Windhorst said that KP is almost definitely gone. Hauser too. He still thinks Jaylen and White aren’t going anywhere

I'm gonna be sad to lose Hauser. Sam was our find, an undrafted guy who worked himself through the ranks to become a damn good player. Porzingis, as fun as he was, still feels a bit more like a mercenary to me... plus KP is always out. But Sam was our guy.

I wouldn't be shocked at all if two years from now, when JT is back and we're ready to make a deep run again, that Brad goes and gets Sam back Daniel Theis style. We just aren't gonna compete this upcoming year for a title and, in our money spot, we need to move Sammie. However, Brad loves to bring guys back...

Does +/- are useless when they missed everyone from starting 5 and i mean everyone.
That team aint going anywhere and doenst really need KP.
They need to figure out Zion first

GB thinks the trade is evidence of a conspiracy so I guess we did ok.

[Stein] We first reported last week that Phoenix has been conducting background work on the Latvian big man. The Suns, for the record, do still technically have some trade avenues to reach Porzingis' number now that their Durant business has concluded.

Three teams reported in the mix for KP, Spurs, Pelicans, Suns.

Don't really like any of the attainable/fitting players on any of those teams outside maybe KO. I'd take the other Champagnie twin also.

Yes, we have to cut salary, but Bulpett’s line about upgrading the roster tells me we’re not just going to slash salary for the sake of it. Brad will be smart and methodical about it—like with the Simons deal.
