Jalen Green news and discussion

Post#1 » by Saberestar » Mon Jun 23, 2025 5:56 am

He is the centerpiece of the KD's trade. Exciting player to watch, he goes to the rim HARD.

Book and Jalen...2025 Suns backcourt.
It is gonna work better because of Jalen's athleticism, passion, health and talent.

Jalen Green working out with KD and Book last summer.

And here together more than 6 years ago. Jalen Green was just 16 years old.

I am confident that Book and Jalen are excited about playing together, it's an electrifying backcourt.

Yeah...no pure PG there, but we had Tyus Jones and Monte Morris and they weren't a positive factor. The Thunder won without a pure PG...it's not a must to be a successful team.

We failed with Beal. Sadly he isn't healthy and he is basically a shadow of himself. Jalen Green is at full strength.

He lit up the Suns nearly every game last season.

33 pts (9/17) on 3/30

29 pts (8/16) on 3/12

22 pts (8/21) on 2/12

Yeah, we were bad last season
SHAZAM!

Suns traded Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Jae Crowder and 4 1st round picks and a swap so some Vegas Bookies would like us.

All of y'all will hate him (maybe even more than I do, which is hard to imagine) before the ASB.
Same eversince he entered the league, low iq chucker, no shooting, no assists, no defense.
This years Rockets were 8 points worse with him on the floor than without him!!! A 52 win team, and he is a starter and a high scorer - how bad do you have to be to "achieve" that??? Then ofcourse he craps the bed, shoots 37% in the playoffs for 13 points - 4 years in... He is a negative player - and this front office will not make a good trade. Ever. Out of the 9 normal rotation players in Houston he was the 9th in net rating (Brooks was 8th). He was in the 3rd percentile for deflections in the NBA. So 97% of the NBA players are better at getting deflections - how bad is that?

Actually, just go listen to The Timeline podcast, they cover all this - you will be crying and calling the suicide hotline. Thing is, they only stating facts.

At least with Green we'll be more dynamic and interesting to watch while losing next season.

Exactly this. Green is a negative asset. We did Houston a favor by taking him. They got out of a bad contract while also getting KD. JFC I didn't know if it was possible for me to hate Ishbia more than I already did before this trade.

In a year, we'll be discussing trading a first to dump him for KCP or something

4th worse true shooting % out of 40(ish) players who shot at least 17 times last year. Only worse are the 3 charlotte dudes.
Bottom 3% in usage/assist ratio.

You all gonna hate him so much in so little time

I hate this move. The only way to make it better is to see Green sent elsewhere for more complementary pieces. He's about as redundant as they come and is a net negative.

Ishbia keeps trading for guys that nobody wants. You ever hear of those guys that trade a pencil and keep trading until they have a Porsche? Ishbia is the exact opposite of that.

Featuring DA, Green, Patrick Williams who is probably on top of our FO's wish list. Let's get all these players on the same team.

What a disgrace of a video. You cant put DA and Green with P Williams.

DA has a ceiling of a 9.5/10 big man, but he is 'happy' to play as a 7.5 to 8.5 type of big man. He was definitely an 8.5/10 big man for the Suns during their run. Then Monty, Booker, KD started using him as an escape goat and also froze him out of offense. WE ALL SAW the games where he scored 8-10 points on 5 for 5 in the first quarter only to get the ball 3 more times the entire game. Ayton got misused and he sulked and got traded. But he is still a plus player on the court when he plays.

Jalen Green is now a Sun, so you have to look at the good bits he has shown. He can create his own shots, he is athletic, agile and has raw talent. Most of all, he has shown improvements every year.
The bad?
He is thinks he is better than he is and takes Kobe like shots.
But he is 23 years old and a good player coach will hopefully discourage him from taking bad shots.

Patrick Williams is a BUST no way around it. There are no positives except that he may become a 10 year NBA player by just playing like a backup, all fine, but he was a top 5 pick. And he wanted 30M a year.

So I hope this place doesnt turn into Reddit, where every scumbag fan just put players down and focus on negativities all the time.
