Is this possible?
Mathurin for Dyson Daniels

It's a legal trade and it saves the Pacers a little money, but Pacers need to upgrade the backup 5 not the backup 1. Actually the Hawks have a trade exemption big enough to take Mathurin in without sending a player back and they have two FRP's so I'd consider Mathurin for the 13.

Realistically? No. Atlanta isn’t doing that.

Can now trade four 1sts if they wished.
I don't see the Pacers trading #1's right now with the prospect of paying tax next season.

Re: Pacers trade rumors & speculation thread
I’m looking at the Pacers not being able to win the championship this season because of the outcome of the last two games. With that in mind I think it’ll be the Pacers front office stance to stay the course with the current team and most all of the existing roster. This roster has achieved so much last year and this year. It’s still so very young and players like Haliburton, Nembhard, Mathurin, Sheppard, Nesmith, Toppin, and Walker are showing that they’re still developing their NBA careers/skills. Veterans like Turner, Siakam, and McConnell are desperately needed to remain for continuity. I think Furphy is very safe.
The only moves I see happening are the disposition of who and how many backup 5’s will be on next season’s roster and who will be the 3 two way players. Also will Ryan Nembhard be drafted with the 1 lone pick this draft. I’m resigned to the fact that the front office thinks with this team’s continued growth this upcoming season that they’ll be capable of getting to the finals again and not need big changes to accomplish this.

His play at the combine may have moved him higher than 54. If so, I hope a big body is there and trading the 54 and cash for a pick in the 40s wouldn't shock.

Calling them Russian cars is too offensive.
We wouldn't target Bane but if we lose the series I can see calling Memphis to send them a guard for a 2026 first.
Knowing where he's from, I would always see him as a (small) target. Sure, you could get some French giant, who they just offer a plane to get across the border, or you don't let the talented state guys slip away.
But again, we are having a huge if going on right now, as a winning team, so they can stick their wonky trade window in their asses, even if we only become second best.

I'd like to see them get one of the 7 ft guys like Ryan Kalkbrenner or Maxime Raynaud or Danny Wolf but those guys will be gone by #40 probably gone by #35

I like Goldin in the second and I've read good things about Yang who is high or low depending upon who you believe.

I'm not sure who Goldin is? Do you have a full name on him? Where he played.

Yes, Russia via Michigan.
Vladislav Goldin is a Russian college basketball player for the Michigan Wolverines of the Big Ten Conference. He previously played for the Texas Tech Red Raiders and Florida Atlantic Owls. He has earned all-conference honors three times in his collegiate career, including a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2025. Wikipedia

Yeah I hadn't heard of him but his stats look good if he's there at the end of the 2nd for the 54th pick why not give him a shot. The Pacers need a quality back up center. Jackson may not be recovered by the beginning of the season and they might not be bringing him back anyhow.
I'd like to sign Jackson on a 2 year deal at league minimum give him a player option on year 2.

Carlisle was on 107.5 around 8am. I chanced to be listening, they asked him about the op priority reminding him that last year he said it was resigning Siakam. He replied I know you're asking about Myles and said he didn't know any details but confirmed keeping him was the priority. He keeps referring to a 17 man group (the 18th roster spot was iJax) and I can see them bringing everyone back as an earned reward.

Re: Pacers trade rumors & speculation thread
I know it is a tough decision. But I think given the circumstances, it makes a lot of sense to try to move on from Turner, Siakam, and McConnell and give more playing time to the youth. Start Mathurin. Find a backup PG that's closer to Haliburton's age.
Thats what my brain says to do but not my heart.

If we're not bringing everyone back, I'd rather trade Mathurin to solve next year's tax problem. I think RayJ, Q, or pick 54 could be the 5th guard.
