I don't know him well, but I see the appeal for the FO.
In April 2024, Minnesota Timberwolves head coach Chris Finch suffered a ruptured patellar tendon in his right knee due to a collision with player Mike Conley Jr. during a playoff game. This injury required surgery and sidelined Finch from courtside coaching.
Assistant coach Micah Nori stepped in to fill the role of standing coach.
While Finch still contributed from the second row, Nori managed the game flow, including calling timeouts. The team continued their playoff run with this altered coaching setup, ultimately losing in the Western Conference semifinals.
How many games and what were the results? It's kind of an odd situation. Doesn't sound very impressive overall.
