Matisse Thybulle is picking up his $11.5 million player option for the 2025-26 season with the Portland Trail Blazers. The Blazers matched Thybulle's three-year, $33 million offer sheet with the Dallas Mavericks when he was a restricted free agent in 2023.
Thybulle averaged 7.5 points, 3.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 2.2 steals in 20.8 minutes over 15 games last season with the Blazers. Thybulle didn't make his season debut until March due to a knee and ankle injury.
Thybulle, who is represented by Aaron Goodwin, will be an unrestricted free agent in 2026. Thybulle could be a trade target given his defensive pedigree and expiring contract.
