Not really weird. He’s an expiring. Plus he could actually help us this year. But I could see him getting moved again during the season.

Thank you Jrue Holiday!!! I thought his play really slipped last year and I don’t think it’s going to get much better from here.

Holiday was huge in the championship year, the Celtics wouldn’t have won without him. Could easily have been Brown, Tatum or Holiday for FMVP. They all deserved consideration.

Thank you Jrue Holiday!!!!!!

Much love for Jrue. Defensively even better than I could have imagined. Amazing defensive footwork resulted in slowing down Banchero this past playoffs. Strong base made it difficult for big men to post up. Thanks for always putting on a defensive clinic. I wish someone like him played with KG too. That would have been really something.

I wish all the best to Jrue Holiday in Portland, just an amazing basketball player, teammate and person by all accounts. It was a treat watching him play for Boston those last couple years. I wish it could have lasted longer but at least I can sleep easier tonight knowing that Bill Chisholm's family will make enough savings to afford to put food on the table this month.

Hate to see him go. Fantastic Defensively. Was just too much money, for the age and decline in performance

Sure, and we have until the end of the season to accomplish this.

Moreover, Simons’ expiring contract should be much easier to handle. I would assume Brooklyn would be much more receptive to absorbing him into their cap space compared to Porzingis without having to relinquish future assets.

It will require a series of moves throughout the year to achieve this goal.

Jrue is obviously the better player but my blazers got schooled in this deal. Jrue is a consummate pro but that contract stinks to high heaven for the last 3 years.

He is an all-time great backcourt defender, every bit as good as Gary Payton. I am very sorry to see him go, especially in a trade for a selfish chucker.
