Bad franchises continuing to demonstrate why they are bad franchises. If the Bucks were a good one, they'd be able to fleece these other bad teams, but it seems like they're just a New Orleans who hit on a generational prospect.

Does Denver's front office get high before press conferences? Between Josh Krokenke today, Calvin Booth and Malone in the past, they just keep saying stupid **** about their players unprompted lol

Going into the new year the pacers were 16-18 on the season. If you have Giannis, you don’t sit him and tank. Instead, have some pride and compete for a playoff spot.

In theory that's possible.soxperry wrote:MickeyDavis wrote:We won't be swapping picks next year.
Ohhhh.. are you saying they brought in the tank commander?
If they go full rebuild, we could actually have Giannis sit out the 2nd half of the season with some kind of injury and get a lottery pick.
Convincing Giannis to sit out half the year..... Good luck

That's even a team WE got fleeced by.

Surely ESPN will take this news and run with it for a bit and leave Giannis alone, right? ... RIGHT?!

Re: ATL - Jrue to Portland
Can't think of anything that would piss Giannis off more than shutting him down for the season right before he has to make a decision on the contract extension. I mean, if we're mathematically eliminated from the play-in, then sure (doubtful). The 15th-16th pick, plus 2 future firsts, plus a pick swap should still put us in good position to land a low-level star in a trade next offseason.

Not only did not not need to be said, but it doesn't even make sense. What the actual hell is he talking about?

i'd like to have a real chance... that's just me
you do understand the difference between our roster and the pacers right? because that is just not happening to us.

what he said makes absolute perfect sense. i dont know what's controversial about it.
he basically said if he's not careful with the new rules, he could be stuck with a roster around Jokic that is completely incapable of competing and the only way out of that is trading Jokic. as a bucks fan, it made me a little uncomfortable.

C’mon, man.
GSW is another example. They had a losing record, made one trade in which they gave up one first, and their season completely turned around. They made the second round and were a Steph injury away from pushing the wolves to go to the conference finals.
At what point, whether that’s a certain record or seeding, are you actually considering sitting Giannis and tanking for the 2nd half of the year?

The Bucks need to do some back channel work with the Wizards buyout candidates. Bring in all the old guys at as backups and playoff help. I'd take Middleton, McCollum, and Marcus on the minimum for 20-26 minutes.
The 3 Ms in Milwaukee.

The Nets think the 22nd pick is going to be the clincher to land Giannis.

yeah, that happened to one team one time. how many other players even close to Jimmy's caliber have been traded for the pile of assets we currently have? i'd rather take the sure thing. this is all provided that there's a sit down with GIannis and he fully understands and is on board. obviously, that's questionable. But who knows

I know he's a major health risk, but always thought zinger could have been a good Lopez replacement. Who knows, maybe hawks suck and they sell him at the deadline.
