Claxton has negative value. He put up a 57 TS% season last year, had absolutely horrible metrics and has 3 years left at 23m AAV, only positive is it is descending.

Even if you really don't like Ochai and Gradey as prospects, they're still really cheap contracts and at least have positive value.

But yes, it doesn't work anyways.

If we trade RJ + 9 For Cam + 19 i will be pretty disappointed...While Cam the better player hes not like a ceiling raising player.....He would not make us drastically better to give up 9th for....

Cam is a much better player than RJ. And if Masai doesn't like anyone at #9 and thinks his preferred target would be available at #19, I can see him pulling the trigger.

Cam is old, but we appear to be "going for it" ("it" being a first or second round exit), so he fits what we're trying to do.

Cam and RJ are the same type of player. And if Cam is marginally better, he’s not worth dropping out of the lottery in what most people consider a 8 player draft. We’re trading out of the lottery for a backup 4/5 because Cam Johnson sure as hell ain’t playing the 2.
