The Boston Celtics are set to generate a $22.2 million exception for Kristaps Porzingis and a $4.7 million trade exception for Jrue Holiday.

Or, he says screw it I'm too old for this **** and bounces this summer. Either could happen.

The issue is. Why does a man on his last leg, pushing 40 come back to a Celtics team that has no chance of winning it all.

It makes no sense for him or the Celtics.

Horford would be a great off the bench piece for a team who needs that one extra player.

He has no place on this roster if he wasn't already here.

If he just wants a place where he's comfortable and winning a championship isn't his goal then sure, he can play for the minimum and coast but it doesn't feel like that's where he's at right now.

Yeah, I think Al should go ring chase somewhere else too. No reason for him to stay. We love him. We'll always love him. But it's over.

Al has a ring. Al doesn't chase anything.

I don't think they can use these because of the second apron they're trying to stay under.

Unless they can be used in a small window that's after next season but before they expire?

This roster isn’t done. Let’s see what happens. I really can’t see the team trading White or Brown since that would more or less piss off Tatum.

Unfortunately our case of the 2nd aprons makes us immune, lol.

Question

Can we make moves as an under the apron team now even those these deals aren’t “official official?”

Al doesn't make sense for this roster. For him or us.

I am suddenly manically depressed. With just the thought that Boston may end up having Al. And Kornet back and joe is still our coach.....

Can we finally announce a good damn trade, please..
2 things need to go.. my lack of spell check and Joe..

I think so because any deals we do now also won't be official. Order of operations is always a big thing this time of year.

We're over the cap and we have nothing left to trade for.

I'm fully in on Stevens. Next year is going to be a blast, and, as Gant noted, being under the apron is enormous for opening up trade possibilities. Giddy-up, y'all!

Yeah that trade idea has been tossed around on here. I'm all for it. Harper is legit.

But if we keep JB, we're in good shape as well because we know he can be a top 2 option on a championship team. Win-win either way.

Just please don’t force me to watch Georges Niang in a Celtics uniform Brad.

Now time to dump Hauser and Tillman.

It was a pretty good return until we sent Mann and 22 to BRK.
I’d have kept them, but it’s not my money.

I mean if we'd just gotten someone different than Georges Niang as the random ass player in the deal I'd be a lot happier I think lol.

15 away from the lux tax line I say we get under it to help with the repeater tax stuff. Trader Hauser for a TPE and a pick and then use seconds to dump Niamg. Draft and develop and you hope you can trade some combo of 2025 draft picks, Pritchard, Simons, Schierman, future picks for a better piece or two down the line.

The Porzingis trade is terrible, I can't believe no one wanted to give a first or a better player than Niang.
I hope this move isn't based on the intention of be under the 2nd apron and keep hauser, that would be a move wasting assets that makes no sense because right now the only realistic way to get a starter C is trading 2-3 of niang, hauser and pritchard.
