Porzingis is overrated. A dangerous but flawed player even when healthy and he's always hurt. Celtics will be okay without him. He absolutely killed them in the playoffs this year.

Frankly, I don't think he cares all that much about basketball. I don't have any evidence, it's just a vibe I get. I doubt being shipped to ATL is going to rekindle his passion for the game.

I think he cares, he just realizes that he body has limitations. Players 7'2" and taller usually have shortened careers.

Nets got the 22nd pick to absorb Terance Mann's contract. Nice deal for them. Celtics got below the apron which they needed to do. And the Hawks add Porzingis to their front line.

It will cost Brooklyn roughly $48 million for Mann and the codt of the 22nd picks guaranteed contract. That's not good.

Pritchard is under contract until 2028.

Brown is under contract until 2029 and will have a Bionic meniscus.

White is under contact until 2028 + a player option.

Tatum is under contract until 2029 + a player option and will have a Bionic Achilles.

Pick #28 will be under contract until 2027 with 2 option years and then a RFA.

As long as the Celtics have both Js, they will be competitive in 2026-27, don't you worry.

So 4 players, a maybe #28 pick who could be out of the league, and that’s about it.

The Celtics have been so good due to their depth and the fact they had 6 or so legit starting pieces. Jrue/White/Tatum/Brown/Horford/Porzingis. A team where the stars are not true superstars (sorry brown and Tatum), and the overall overwhelming number of good/great pieces makes them great.

Now they have Tatum, Brown, 32 year old White (when he’s back), and career bench guy Pritchard.

Celtics are gonna very disappointed when Tatum/Brown don’t have 2/3 all stars around them to make them look better than they are.

They have their own 2026 1st rounder too, no telling how high that could land.

I think you forget Brown went to at minimum the ECF 6 of his first 8 seasons in the NBA (Tatum 5 of his first 7 seasons).

You truly are not giving Tatum and Brown enough credit.

I mean it’s not like Okongwu’s a guy who’s going to be at his best playing 30+ MPG and neither is Porzingis. They’re both guys that you want a little insurance on if they’re your starting center. If they’re somehow both healthy in the playoffs, there’s no reason you can’t give Porzingis a few minutes at the 4 to maximize their floor time. Capela’s definitely gotta go though.

The new cba sucks. It forces good teams to break up. Then you get random small market teams in finals and the ratings are horrific. The nba shot itself in the foot with this cba

I posted months ago that amongst all of the bad things of this CBA, the worst is the affect of injury. I said, God forbid Shai or some superstar gets injured ot changes everything. The KP illness and subsequent Tatum injury were devastating but mean nothing to slowing down this relentless CBA. The injuries to Irving, Haliburton and Lillard can happen to anybody. Just the worst thing of many.

Going to miss KP! He didn’t play much but he have 100% everytime he hit the floor. I wonder if the Hawks had any reservations about his mysterious illness that plagued him through the playoffs.

KP and Jrue trades were expected. Celtics now under the 2nd apron which was the goal all along. Hauser might be next otherwise they’re running it back and retooling for Tatum in 2 seasons.

Side note. I hate Niang. I really despise the kind of player he is and I actually don’t want to see him in green
