Not really excited about Newall but I'll give Masai the benefit of the doubt if that's his pick.

I like him but only if we trade back. He’s a bit low ceiling to me I’d rather CMB.

I mean look at the three prospects in the cluster:

CMB
Queen
Newell

Newell is roughly the same size as Queen but more athletic, shot and made more threes than CMB and Queen combined. While CMB and Queen both handle and pass well, how good will they be as complimentary players?

They won't have high usage to show their skills on a team like Toronto, while Asa will be a clean-up guy on offense, guard and be a switch defender. He's basically a stronger Chris Boucher. He seems like a perfect head-down worker type who has always played on great teams and complimented winning.

He might be more of a trade down guy like you said, but he seems like a perfect fit here and almost any team so he might be in higher demand than the mocks see it.

What did he say?

He said the Raps 2019 chip was fraudulent

This stance is getting so old considering 90% of the playoffs/finals have had major injuries to star players. It's so easy for Americans to talk smack about our chip as we're the lone Canadian franchise while consistently ignoring all the injuries on American teams. Lazy narrative.

probably

Like if Jaku really slides all the way to #15..... Boston trades Derrick White and #28, OKC trades Jakucionus, Isaiah Joe, Aaron Wiggins.

OKC drafts Markovic with #28. At #44 draft Goldin, Neiderhauser or Amari Williams.

PG SGA - Cason - Topic
SG White - Dort
SF JalenW - Caruso
PF Chet - Markovic/Dieng
C Hartenstein - Jaylin/44

OMG, repeat champs.

Also a crazy take because that raptor team would have smashed every champion since.

Hoping said it in jest because he's from cali.

If they believe he's BPA and obviously will fit a need, they probably take him.

Teams soured on him cuz he started slow in France and didn't shoot it well but prior to this season he was killing it alongside all the top recruits

Raps called him in early before anyone else means they like him

We're getting a second lottery pick by trading RJ to get Traore. We need a starting PG very badly.

Now I'm wondering if we go after Beringer and Traore. We've heavily scouted the French prospects. Maybe use RJ to get a late lottery or mid teens pick.

Most would be shocked if we listed the players from that roster lol. We had an elite team that I would put up against every champion since ours, including this year's thunder.

Cam Johnson + #19 + #22 + #27
RJ Barrett + #9

#19 - Noa Essengue
#22 - Nolan Traore
#27 - Joan Beringer
Raptors record prediction: 45-37 (6th place in the East)

Say what? Honestly I’m getting the notion raps aren’t interested. Hard to see them drafting anybody they didn’t interview.

He called our 2019 chip fraudulent

I guess he doesn’t want to be here to say something like that. We probably caught wind of it and didn’t even bring him into Toronto. Good riddance I guess.
2019 Eastern Conference All Stars

Derozan
Lowry
Ibaka
Valanciunas
Van Vleet
Delon Wright
Lebron
Embiid

There are only 2 teams in the league that rank in the top 6 in offensive and defensive efficiency: the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors.

I think Raps trade down and end up with Traore and Beringer.

Return to Toronto Raptors
