I was reacting to your concern about "minutes distribution and money". But you also dial it down to say free agency barely started and we'll see. So I'm not sure how to react now. I guess I'm with you there.

It's true that having a deep roster is essential in this new age NBA. But still, how the roster is constructed matters a lot. On top of it, 2nd apron rules severely limits the team for "the now" and for the future. This is the exact same reason why Celtics are having a mini fire sale right now.

90% of LA fans were happy Buss family sold the team but in reality, no matter how rich new owners are, under the new CBA their money won't even matter. Same goes for the Adelsons.

Nico will have to be careful. Resigning important guys is crucial but then again, he could have also kept Grimes and shot the team cap to the 3rd apron if it existed lol.... He didn't want to do that, so he clearly hinted Mavs staying under 2nd apron will be their priority.

To be honest, a lot of Laker fans are stupid AF. Mostly bandwagon fans who like big teams. You can't all sign Luka, Jokic and Giannis like they all want to. There's no room.

I've read stuff that Grimes and his agent had run ins with Kidd or Nico. He's looking to get Desmond Bane money. In that $25M to $28M range. He's walking no matter what. He's not sniffing that type of money.

Yeah, Grimes' agent said they didn't like how Nico handled Doncic and was publicly critical about the trade. He also didn't like the fact that they got Christie who played same position so they wanted out. I don't think that Grimes is worth that much money though. I think he'll get offered in the range of 15-20M.

If I would guess, the preference is still to keep PJ and Gaff. But of course if an offer comes that blows you away, you still pull the trigger. Austin Reaves for Gaff, I think Nico pulls the trigger there.

Mavs medical staff still scares me. Nico replaced one but i feel like all of them have to go. With the latest Hali injury, this is even more relevant now.

Snapped Achilles Tendons seem to be occurring with a higher frequency this decade than the last.

I wonder if there is something to do with new training methods, how they tape your feet prior to games, and/or new shoe designs. If any.

From my understanding they fired the whole training staff not just the main guy.

I hope so. Last time i read it was 1 guy but i hope they're all gone. The incompetence that they showed this season was legendary while Casey Smith received the award with the Knicks. And Nico had the balls to say "We replaced him with better people". What a dumbass.

Excellent contract for Kyrie if he comes back himself, as he should

This is exactly why I was hoping Kyrie would take less than $40M. He did and now the Mavs have the flexibility to go out and get a PG without having to trade away key parts of the team.

After we get C.Flagg tomorrow, what we need to do it to sign a PG by the 5.7M tax payer MLE to short-term replace Irving position, any suggestion now?

CP3 would be my hope but it looks like DLo and Brogdon are their targets in FA now according to Shams.

CP3 is my favorite target but something tells me we are going after another Klutch client such as Sexton/Lonzo/Brogdon.

Dennis Schröder could also be a potential candidate

Kyrie just earning a bit more than Desmond Bane is insane value. You take that signed contract and run with it.

I will perfer either sign Dlo on TMLE or trade for Sexton.............also if have chance, trade a middle to late first round pick for W.Cayton Jr

Return to Dallas Mavericks
